Good morning house... I finally finished reading from page 0. I have ielts 8877 : 10pts, lrws. Studied Industrial Relations and Personnel Management from Unilag. I have been working as the Human Resource Head of department for over 5 years. 34 years : 25pts of age. With my points I should have around 65 points. However my main concern is how to go abt getting my transcript assessed with AIM... pls can seniors in the house help me out

Senior colleagues in the house and other gurus who got positive assessment from a tier 2 university should help with the questions below.

I have a BSc. in Accounting from Lagos State University as well as having over 3 years work experience in the profession. I worked for more than a year in an audit firm as an auditor and the rest as been as an accountant in the industry.

My questions:
a. Should I assess with VETASSES as an internal auditor? Do I have a chance of getting a positive outcome based on the fact that I attended a state university and not having ICAN? How can you guide me on the process?
b. Should i assess with either ICAA or CPA as an accountant or external auditor as no one is sure of what may happen to our profession in the with the very high cut off points. Will I get a positive outcome with my BSc and detailed syllabus with transcripts despite not having ICAN?

Kindly help me to address these issues in order to determine my next move.

[Good question. Your really should consider the listed factors. I live in Tassie and job opportunities are not easy to come by compared to the mainland cities. Those of us in Tassie are considering relocating. So guys, do your home work meticulously. Professions in high demand are the medical practitioners certified in australia as well.

But I have a little problem.. I have B. Eng in Petroleum Engr. Graduated 2015 and i don't have any experience.

Having gone through this thread and seeing that Pet eng is not on 189 and is neither sponsored by any state.. I want to nominate chemical engineering.

Will i be assessed positively by EA if i write a strong CDR.

My response to your PM failed sorry. Please go with either ICAA or CPA as either Accountant or External Auditor (I assessed as both) and go very far away from vetassess. Calculate your points and aim for 20 points in English though I dont know how old you are. I hope this helps a little.

3. Since, the point for Accountant is high, i want my husband to assess his credentails. He has a B.A in Philosophy, MBA and has been working in a commercial bank for more than 10 years. Kindly advise which profession he can assess for and the assessing body.
