How many kilometers do you reckon they’d cover in a day ? Bad infrastructures makes policing a country nightmarish.

NAF, any helicopter landing you can walk away from was a good one.

NAF RETURNS 4 SUPER MUSHSHAK AIRCRAFT TO PAKISTAN, EXPECTS DELIVERY OF 5 BRAND NEW ONES

The 4 Super Mushshak aircraft loaned to the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) by the Pakistan Government, for the ab-initio flying training of its pilots at 401 Flying Training School Kaduna, have been returned to Pakistan. The disassembled aircraft were loaded aboard a cargo aircraft and flown out of the NAF Base Kaduna on 23 October 2017. The returned aircraft were temporarily made available by the Pakistan Government, at no extra cost to the NAF, for the commencement of training of its pilots in December 2016, prior to the delivery of the 10 trainer aircraft ordered by the NAF.

With the now returned 4 Super Mushshak trainer aircraft, the NAF was able to train 4 Instructor Pilots and graduate 16 ab-initio student pilots, including 2 female pilots, at the 401 Flying Training School Kaduna. This has enhanced the ability of the NAF to train its pilots locally thereby helping to build the needed capacity to further prosecute the fight against insurgency in the North East. Having taken delivery of the first batch of 5 new trainer aircraft, there was no longer any need for the NAF to retain the 4 loaned Super Mushshak aircraft and hence, the return of the aircraft, in line with the agreement between the 2 parties. The NAF is expecting to receive the remaining 5 brand new Super Mushshak aircraft it had since ordered before the end of December 2017.

The vehicle is stuck in mud, the infrastructure is completely hopeless. I doubt if much movement was made on this day. A foot patrol would have accomplished much more than this in my opinion.

the remaining 5 SM trainers can be seen here at the production line in Pakistan, to be delivered before the end of the year

everybody wants MRAPs, anyways I do not know what the ambush threat level is like in DRC, in the case that IED attacks or ambushes dont happen that often, soft skinned vehicles and even motorbikes will do much better in the rural areas.

I don't think the SANDF has any other types of APCs apart from MRAPs. They can only deploy what they have. They also have lots of Soft-Skinned Pick-up trucks deployed in that area.

For me, a foot patrol is all that is required, considering that you still wont be able to travel long with road conditions like that.

No it's not. You can clearly see tracks in front meaning another vehicle got through. But yes, infrastructure is largely non-existent in the DRC. Which is why FARDC provides an entire battalion to act as porters when the FIB moves from point A to B in inhospitable terrain.

Source? Only pick-ups are in Goma, doing rear area work.

From a couple pictures i've seen on the MONUSCO page. However, that's not necessarily the issue.

It looks stuck to be, with the soldiers trying to get it out. Look at the guy jumping on top of the vehicle.

Do people jump on-top moving vehicles?

Don't be stupid, you asked for my source, i gave it to you.

Whatever you think about it, is your problem, i could not care less about the SANDF.

Who said it was moving? Faced with evidence of preceding tracks in front of it, surely the simplest conclusion is they're extra careful in that limited space, to get it through?
Or am I using logic yet again?

Who say's it isn't stuck?
Having tracks in-front doesn't mean the vehicle we can all see is stuck, isn't stuck.

Do soldiers picnic in the middle of the bush in the DRC? You claimed to have served there, you answer.

The vehicle isn't stuck, but it's winch is out, how convenient.

So you see a few pics of pick-ups in the city of Goma and the air-base, and you reach this conclusion:
They also have lots of Soft-Skinned Pick-up trucks deployed in that area.

And still have the nerve to call people stupid?

You seem to have not only a stupidity problem, but also a comprehension problem. I've noticed it, especially with you.

This comment you jumped on, can you tell us what i meant?

"They also have lots of Soft-Skinned Pick-up trucks deployed in that area."

Have you asked for clarification which i haven't provided, could you also prove that this statement is false?
