Nigerian parents abroad who fail to teach their children our native languages and culture are to blame. Those parents are a total mess because they put their children in terrible situations when they grow up. They are unable to identify and connect with their roots. |

cstr1000:I am proud of myself, my family, my alumni, my profession, my Faith, my club, my bae, my colour etc. My point is. There is so many things to be proud of...i may not be proud of NIGERIA but I'm proud to be NIGERIAN..... It doesn't spell insecurity ... I don't share tribalism sentiments |

That's a good move. We share 99% of our gene with apes, and language is the only thing that separates us from ape. If apes could speak, they'll have a language of their own. Therefore, if you don't have your own language you speak, if all you have is language given to you by foreigners (Europeans), then question could be raised whether you're human. 1 Like 1 Share |

[s] greencard:[/s] Ah ignorance is truly bliss. That guy's father was a hardcore Biafran until his death. He impacted this on Jidenna throughout his growing up. It is also the reason Jidenna is so passionate about Igbo culture and heritage. You'll be silly (non surprisingly) to expect Jidenna to come and tell you he's a Biafran to your face. 2 Likes 1 Share |

While some parents in Nigeria refuse to teach their kids how to speak Igbo fluently, people like us sell them in school with the language, they have no other option than to learn it . |
