Yes.
It's my first time and was advised to go with agrited the male line but got to find out is not mostly male as they said. They are 8 weeks yesterday. 50 and fatality of 5 remaining 45. They died because of my mistakes as a novice.

As a first timer u had 5 mortality which is 5% and standard is 4% that means that as a novice ur birds did very well
But I haven't heard of Agrited male line I only know of Obj male line
Cos the main reason apart from the excellent growth of the line is the male to female ratio as some hatchery u keep getting 70% female which is not the best for biz

Finisher has more calcium content it adds weight and helps in stronger bone formation so as ur birds are getting bigger finisher is the key

EMMAACHILE:
Add Chi to the list.
The guys at poultryplaza will also advise for Cascada marshal broilers in place of Obj since Obj has been known to have high mortality
Foresight is also Marshall. Zartec's flagship is the Cobb 700. Agrited ships the Ross 308. Chi and the rest produce the Arbor Acres Plus strain. I decided to veer away from the popular Chi Arbor Acres to try the Cobb and Marshall strains after I read about the better resistance of both to heat (My place is hot), and also their good FCR. So far, they have been really impressive. Especially the Marshalls.

Are you rearing Marshall from Foresight? I think the Ross and Marshall breed are better than the arbor acre as they are tall and will command more respect in the market.
Re: Xmas Broiler Broading In Pictures by Turks: 12:08pm On Oct 28, 2017
Zartech has the Cobb 500 and not the 700. They’ve sold the PS of them 700s. The Marshalls do pretty well but for their poor FCR. They’re also popular for their massive weight, height and combs which is way conspicuous than that of the Ross strain.

Yes. Marshall from Foresight. Cobb from Zartec. Ross and Arbor Acres are from the same company, Aviagen. But the company seems to place more emphasis on the Ross.

Better stay away from poultryplaza because they are bad people. They supplied me birds and 15 were dead by the time the birds were delivered and 7 could not stand. By evening 22 were dead. I sent a message to one of their representatives on whatsapp and since 30th January she has not replied even though she read the message I sent immediately. Between Friday and Monday morning, over 40 birds died without any explanation. Even if we want to say it's due to my own carelessness, what of those that died before I got them. To make matters worse, the box of cockrels had 55 chicks. The pullets were 98 while the broilers were 100.
Lol. Different strokes for different folks. Sorry for your loss. As for me, I have been using poultryplaza and I have not had any serious issue with them aside delaying my turkey poults delivery by a week. But that's pardonable.

What's wrong with my broilers when two of them decides to be down like they are cold. One of them died this morning and the other is still doing fine. But I want to ask what I can give them, in case it reoccurs

What are the symptoms? We'd also like some pictures too.

I can't really say this is what's wrong. But the broiler is always looking like it's cold. And as such very dull

I am absolutely a novice to poultry farming but there is something dat kept bothering me and that is how to create a proper house for a doc. What i mean is in d place of trying to give heat to d chicks and u eventuatlly make d house airtight wont this result into high mortality. Pls i need someone to guide me on how to cover the house without making it too much for ventilation.

Get a thermometer if possible. Your brooding room mustn't be airtight. Those little chicks need ventilation like any other living being. In fact I only drop my tarpaulin in the evenings and early morning in the first week when temperature drops below 30c.
Get a good heating source that's all.
