Hello Mavin1,

Visa Application charges(directly from the SK Embassies in Nigeria) are obviously less than 15% of the amount you have quoted. However, VISA agents or agencies may have quoted that figure based entirely on the services they would be providing or rendering to you.
Take a look at the existing visa application price-list found on the SK website and on here too: http://www.vfsglobal.com/Korea/Nigeria/Businees_Visa.html

Is it worth it?
Yes, paying that much to come here is worth it if only they can guarantee you a genuine visa in the end.

I hope that helps.
Cheers

Always articulate with answers.

You said it's worth it, right ? Awesome.

My question is for those who do not have strength to do factory jobs, how easy can such group of people live well down there ?

Of course, no illegal work or hustle considered.

Hello Sexes2005,

Thanks again!!!
Well, not all factory jobs here are back-breaking or strenuous!
Some are as easy as what multi-national coys like Cadbury Nig, Nestle Nig Plc, Oil/Gas, Manufacturing, etc, engage Nigerian First-class degree Graduates with, back home(I could personally attest to that).
However, other jobs you could get around with here while studying are either as an English teacher(if you are lucky enough) or as a Software/IT-based skilled contractor/programmer/freelance to coys. A few others are as interns/executives to real/formal coys (Strong Knowledge of Korean Language is required here)

Once you are done with your studies, you will get a chance to vie for real and formal company jobs, just like an average Korean here.
High-points:
1. Jobs are quite easy to secure here but with good grades and strong Knowledge of Korean Language upon graduation.
2. Pay package is considerably high and even higher than other developed countries. Minimum. $2000 USD/Month.
3. Ability to relocate to other developed and 1st classed countries (just like S. Korea), is at the tip of your fingers.

I hope that helps.
Cheers.

It helps so well !

Thanks for the update.

Like an Oliver Twist , I'll ask you this again:

What advice would you give an entrepreneur coming to South Korea who does not plan to get a job but build a company.

Let's say, come with enough to live on for a year, learn te language and try to build a good start up.

I'm sure others are also learning.

Thanks as usual

Huh Chair!
Which type of Company do you want to build in S. Korea?
Won't it be better building it here in Nigeria...
Well some people are rich...
Thinking from a middle class perspective...

Please I want to enrol on a language program in Hongik university but the school highly requires a Korean reference as one of the admission requirements. How do I go about that? Thank you.

MY TAKE
1). First have a clearer picture or be more specific on how you intend to come over here, rather than going for the "easiest" visa process. I rather would suggest you go for a long-termed RENEWABLE visa status. It could be visit, academics or any other.

2). Sounds great to know you are an Entrepreneur and could remotely work here too. Try to concentrate on that existing platform when you are finally here(for the time-being), until you are able to get-around with the system well enough on ways you can partner with a Korean or Permanent Non-Korean resident here, in order to establish your own Coy Sir.

3). If you do not intend working here at all, please ensure you have sufficient financial backbone prior to arrival, as the cost of living here is relatively high and could leave you dry in no short time, if you are not prepared.

I hope that helps.
Cheers.

Hello Princetx,

That could be done and with a formal LoR attached for your onward visa applications at the SK embassy, but t&c is applicable. Just shoot me an email regarding that Sir.

Cheers.
