Some days are cheaper than others. I noticed that the cheapest days are Thursdays.

You can either book directly on their website or the popular booking agencies. You can compare prices before you pay.

laborel:
hello yimiton,

Please how did you go about getting the cheap Ethiopian flight?
Will appreciate because I intend to follow them too, thanks

This is fantastic news. We're landing in December too.

I haven’t landed yet o..
Used them on another trip. The reviews that had given me pause were mostly about their hub in Addis.
Now I’ve had the Addis experience, it’s not as bad as they led me to believe.
Definitely flying them for our soft landing in December.

Re: Living In Canada/Life As A Canadian Immigrant by yimiton(f): 10:35am On Oct 30, 2017
Maybe that will depend on where your final destination is. I have only one stop, which is Addis, then, directly to Toronto.

shygunXs:

Go to Ethiopian airlines website. Their flights are mostly cheap but the downside is the number of stops. They could have about 3 stops, laying over in hours up to 18hrs. So there's a trade off; you either bear with the long wait and pay cheap, or pay more on other airlines and have few stops.

Dunno if any other person has other opinion.

I believe the flight to Toronto includes a short stop over in Dublin where you don't get off the plane.

Yes, a technical stop but does that count?

Just be bold and proud to tell them you are a Nigerian. There is always someone waiting to eat your jollof rice(like my host) or your moi-moi(like the white lady on the drivers licence enquiry desk at Brampton) Someone i met (a ghanian) wanted to talk down Nigeria in front of my nice host by narrating a crime committed by a Nigerian and guess my response to him? Anyone could have done that. It is not about your country it is about your person. Me wey dey ask almost any black person i see here if dem be naija? Na so i go ask one elderly black man inside bus who come tell me say im be Trinidad and Tobago but im fit be Nigerian descent wey oyibos carry im ancestors for slavery. Proudly Nigerian.
Hey how did you go about the driver's license?
I sure need mine. But I'm just with my international driver's license plus my national license which just expired on August this year.
Thanks

Hi guys, I need help abeg. I’m looking for two things

1) Palm oil
2) fresh meat in bulk (not all those Walmart fertilizer grown meat that’s softer than pillow)

Location - Mississauga/Etobicoke

People keep telling me there are african stores all around but all I see are Caribbean stores that of course do not have palm oil.

You people should epp me please

Thanks

Hi, you can also get tinned palm oil from the Asian (Chinese) stores like Grant's Foodmart at 3415 Dixie Rd, Mississauga, ON L4Y 2B1. It's right at the intersection of Dixie and Bloor and they also have beef, goat and fish, even fresh point and kill right there. Also try African Caribbean Grocery at 63 Dundas Street West, Mississauga. You will get palm oil in small kegs there as well as gari, semo, melon and other Naija staples. All the Oceans Fresh Food Market stores (Chinese owned) have assorted fish & meat selections with entrails if you want. In this winter, pepper soup is a must to help you cope for the 5 months ahead.

For more meat, try Kabul Farms Supermarket at 255 Dundas St West in Mississauga. If you don't mind going far then Laurie Meat is good at 1696 Jane Street, at Jane and Lawrence West, York/Toronto but I personally prefer Sisi Meats at 2734 Jane Street, Toronto. The owner, Dominic, an Italian, is much neater than Laurie and I always go to him for full goat. If you can get some friends together, you can buy a whole cow and Dom will split it up for you guys.

For occasional cooked meals, try Village Suya at 900 Rathburn Road West, Mississauga. Evcen oyinbos recommend the place. Another one to try if you like to stroll is Get Grill at 7910 Hurontario St, Brampton. Hope these help.

Better cook for the village because we are coming to eat. Some of us can smell pepper soup from 50 miles away.

Ethiopian airlines is the surest now. I did my surveys with them by checking prices online and 2 airport trips. I couldn't get a price at their MMA booking office because of politics and maybe side hustle network issues but the 2 private agents gave me prices 7k higher than online price. Sir Jones the hustler gave me a price 2k less than the online price. I finally settled for online booking...

Some programs I know of in Calgary at the moment.....corporate readiness training prog aka CRTP, youth skills connection (by career connections), opportunities knock program, CIWA links to success. This is not an exhaustive list. These are just the ones I know of.

Not all programs are paid but it helps improve your job search skills and resume writing and interview skills plus provides a good opportunity for networking which is key. I guess more research online would yield better results.
