mars123:The UK secretary for health studied Philosophy, Politics and Health, is the UK also a stone age country? The UK minister of transport studied History. You should understand the job of a minister before talking. |

AZeD1:Nice argument. but what are those ministries compared to works, power and housing?? I am sure that if you check the qualifications of those individuals, they have one or two experience in those fields. Again I assure you that Nigeria doesn't know anything about putting square pegs in square holes and that is one of the reasons we are backward. I rest my case. |

| Re: Fashola Inspects Ijora-Olopa Lagos Repair Project (Photos) by AZeD1(m): 2:50pm On Oct 31, 2017 |
mars123:The UK secretary for transport is the minister of works in Nigeria. Before he became a member of a Parliament, he was an author (so you claim that he might have an experience in that field is wrong). The work of a minister is policy formulation. |

muykem:I will advice you to please go to that Ijora-Apapa road and see for yourself before making any conclusion on any government. It is a pity that our government (both PDP and APC) have no shame whatsoever because that road is an eyesore for the past 5 years. I live in Apapa and anytime I am going to Ojuelegba, I normally take an okada from apapa to ojuelegba. As at the time of writing this, I can still tell you that the government attitude towards that road that generates billions of money to the Federal and state government is appauling, because there is no end in sight even for the next 6 months. |

AZeD1:And your brain tells you that a lay man can formulate the best policies right? Fashola is a politician and not a technocrat and the latter is always the best for the job. Think hard and deep before you reply me. |
| Re: Fashola Inspects Ijora-Olopa Lagos Repair Project (Photos) by mars123(m): 11:56am On Nov 01, 2017 |
seunowa:which backyard college did this one go? You smartly omitted power but still you are not smart...It is only in Nigeria a lawyer/politician will be minister of works and energy. Then later you will be wondering why after spending over 20 billion dollars in the power sector we are still struggling with a mere 7k MW. Till tomorrow Barth Nnaji is the best power minister we've had, go and check his qualifications. Akin Adesina is the best Agric minister we've had, go and check his qualifications. My point being, politicians are ok but technocrats are miles ahead for the job. |

mars123:Fashola is a lawyer, had his own chamber before venturing into politics. You've gone from "he's a lawyer to he's not a technocrat" which means you don't know what you are saying. mars123:You are still saying this rubbish. The Russian minister for energy studied economics same as the Chinese so it's not only in Nigeria. The IMF president is a lawyer, the world Bank president is a doctor. Which back water college did you attend? mars123:Has nothing to do with what you studied in college. mars123:Please what is your criteria for judging? Before Barth, generation output was averagely around 3500MW, after Barth, average output is still the same. We crossed 5kMW under Fashola for the first time in this country. Leadership has nothing to do with what you studied in school. |
| Re: Fashola Inspects Ijora-Olopa Lagos Repair Project (Photos) by mars123(m): 1:43pm On Nov 01, 2017 |
AZeD1:I'm saying rubbish you gotta be kidding me. You even went as far as muddling facts from that gutter brain of yours. Let me correct your misconceptions about the Russian and Chinese ministers you cited as examples. Firstly, the Russian energy minister is a graduate of Norisla industrial institute and is a specialist in economy and management in metallurgy (a branch of science which deals with production of metals). The man obviously has the qualifications to be minister of energy. Secondly, the Chinese have no energy ministry but they have a ministry of urban and housing development, and the minister, Wang Menghui read Architecture at Tsinghua University. The amazing thing about both cases is they are both loyal politicians to their respective presidents but they are also technocrats with the required experience for their individual jobs. But in Nigeria's case, we have a doctor as labour minister, that one is acceptable alright. But what of a minister of transport who read English studies, ICT minister who read French etc. Square pegs in round holes. It is your type that is killing Nigeria. I rest my case. |
| Re: Fashola Inspects Ijora-Olopa Lagos Repair Project (Photos) by AZeD1(m): 2:16pm On Nov 01, 2017 |
mars123:Nope it's your type killing Nigeria. You don't understand the work of a minister but you make so much noise. If studying economy and management in metallurgy makes you qualified to be a minister of power what about studying law with a specialisation in energy and environment? ICT minister read French so what? Lots of software developers didn't study computer science or graduate from college so going by your logic, they would be terrible developers. This is 2017, nobody cares what you studied in school anymore. It's what you can do. https://mobile.twitter.com/drjoeabah/status/912014965619519493 Read and educate yourself. |

mars123:See anoda Oponu saying Adesina was the best Agric minister Nigeria eva had. Someone dat could not produce one bag of rice during his stay in office because he lacks good initiatives dat wud elevate Agric-sector despite his qualifications but only good at speaking english frm one event to anoda.. what improvement did Barth Nnaji bring into power sector? Was Nigerians enjoying at least 6hrs of power supply despite bogus amount put into power sector.. what later happened to Barth Nnaji at d end of d day because of incompetency? |

I don't care if you've been governor of the whole world before, you simply dont have the qualifications. No wonder the most unserious country on the globe is still stuck in the stone age.
