My take is this, when u tell a lie so much it becomes the truth, freeze is not saying that people shouldn't pay tithe and offering, he is only saying that it's not a commandment, you're blessings are not tied to your offering and tithes, I personally believe in giving to the church, for the improvement of God's house, but when the church now have excess funds, it should be channeled to helping people in the church that needs such help first, before other people outside. But today's case it's different pastors have private jets(even more than one in some cases) and schools members can't attend. Why does God need you're money to bless you? If that's the case the more money you give the more blessings you get, so what happens to the people that can't afford tithe?
Because something is said over and over again does not make it the truth, seek the truth and it shall set you free.
Do you're own research and make your own conclusions it's not illegal yet.

Tithing is not by force it's by choice
Nobody has to tell you to give offerings or tithe
You decide to, and everyone that gives has a reason for wanting to continue....

For me I know what tithing has done for me and I will not stop tithing....or giving offerings....

Someone once called his pastor on the phone and called him a wicked man... Why?,...because the pastor didn't preach to him what giving is, according to him, he said since he started giving God has been blessing him....trust me no matter what anyone says won't change that man's mind...

When you give your tithes and offerings it's unto God....However the pastors choose to use it, if it's not according to God's Will, they would answer to that....

Freeze is wrong because new testament giving involves giving more than 10%...and pastors don't preach it because of baby Christian in church. Mark 12v42-44 Jesus commended the widow that gave all she had than others that gave more out of their many riches...
Acts 4v34-35 records new testament tithes and offering , how pple even sold their properties to the advancement of the gospel because they were not giving to obey the old law, they gave out of love. Chapter 5 records how a husband and wife were not truthful In their giving... Nd they died for it...
1st cor16v12 Paul gave instructions that they must continue to contribute every first day of the week. So that when the money is needed when he comes for it, there will be no need 4 emergency contributions.
These things are biblical, pastors don't even preach it cos it's hard for immature Christian to digest. But pple like u and daddy Freeze won't read d bible... U just get angry when u see cars and private. U start to feel is ur offering...

Last week the ghanian University commission and a representative from the federal government gave 500acres of land mass to winners chapel together with tax holiday that they should come build covenant University in Ghana. Later pple like u and freeze will say it's ur tithe and offering..... I've done the maths... Tithes and offering can't build schools or buy jets let alone maintain them.

Tithing is not right or wrong. Its a form of giving. Bible only frown at giving grudgingly. Whatever the Pastor do with the money is between the Pastor and God.

In motherless homes, people do visit them with gift items and food but a times the people working there do divert these stuff for personal use. Did that stop people from giving to motherless homes

Leave judgement to God. Do not judge. But wr have to admit the fact. %90 of church members are being taken advantage of. A pastor building univetsities, opening airlines, buying private jets yet there are two million people currently displaced in north. The masses are in dire straights. The billions used in buiidng one single univetsity will provide housing a d relief for 100,000 destitutes and the homeless.

We serve a God of love and benevolence. Our God is so benevolent he gave his only son to buy is salvataion. Sometimes i wish i was a pastor. If i was a pastor raking in billions annually i will compete with the Nigerian government to provide housing for all. I will setup a special task force to sweep the streets of Nigeria looking for the homeless and helpless. The aged with nothing to eat. Ill build flats in the hundreds and camp them there. I will distribute bibles and tapes to them. I will go to the north east and bring back all those orphans whise parents were killed by boko haram.

I will spend %90 of my time preaching about salvation. About heaven and hell. I have no intetest in claiming any inheritance on earth like these pastors keep yelling. Our reward is in heaven. I will not preach about what God can do for us. God does not need to prove anything to us. We are insulting God with this doctrine. I will focus on what we can do for God. It is us who have to prove to God we love him. Sometimes i wonder why God is so slow tp anger.

Jesus was meek and humble. He craved no attention. When he saw the Pharisees doing transactions in church he was livid with rage. Todays pastors are the complete opposite. Proud, arrogant, condensending. May God help if you if you dare critisize a pastor in the presence of his . They will swear for you. Sometimes i wonder who people fear or worship more, God or man? Its sad.

It is issues like this that made me doubt Christianity. Here is the church finding this issue of tithes one on which a definitive position is needed to settle the controversy. Now my question is where's the Holy Spirit in all this? Is he not the Spirit of truth who guides the church into all truth? When the early church had need for a definite position regarding the issue of neat sacrificed to idols, the Holy Spirit gave his decision on the matter and that became the settled position of the church for this is how the decision was reported in the book of Acts 15: 28-30

So why not on this issue of tithe. In fact the church has throughout its history argued on issues like: infant baptism vs adult baptism(catholics vs protestants) those who believe that salvation is necessary for salvation against those who dont(catholics and baptists vs anabaptist) those who believe that the communion is the real flesh and blood of Christ as against those who dont(transubstantiation v consubstantiation, catholics v Lutherans) those who believe in predestination v those who dont(Calvinism v Arminisnism) those who believe Christ will literally reign on earth after the millennium vs those who don't believe (post millenianism v amillenianism v premillenianism). Those who believe salvation is exclusively the work of God vs those who believe that salvation is God's work plus our work (monergism vs synergism, Calvinism vs Arminisnism.

Till date the church has no settled position on these issues and yet she claims to be the vehicle through which the Spirit of truth moves. Church is split into thousands of factions on doctrinal issues, leaving the faithful confused and bewildered. Nawa

Some smart alecs and overfed gluttons sit like queen bees on the altars in the church, and tell you to bring your money so that they tell God to give you more money. And you are not asking them why they are rather collecting money from you, why not offer same prayers to God so that God can give them money. If they so trust that God do provide money why are they so much relying on your money.

You are talking about opinion or choice when people's brain have been programmed since infant that u must pay if you consider yourself a Christian. Now someone is trying to feed them with the truth whether they will remain deluded or free them selves and the deluded are attacking their helper. They've tried AL they could to defend tithing wit 'we are paying to move the ministry forward, later it was countered that that's not the purpose of tithe, now they are defending it with excuses ranging from they participate in many charity program' to 'leave them to God for judgement.
Reason Nigeria will continue to remain backward. When last did the black nation come up with invention/ innovation that will benefit the whole world at large, it can never happen until we start asking questions, until we start using our brain.
