My oga has said it all. You can raise some money to feed them till 8 weeks, sell some of them. And you get more funds to raise the remaining for Xmas supersize...
Best of luck

Good day!

A good thread to follow and almost no need to get an expert again. Kudos to the originator of the thread, God bless you for looking out to help others.
Gratitude to everyone who's contributed too. I am learning greatly.

I am a new entrant in this sector. I bought 63 4-week old broiler initially early in October, had 5 mortality due to stress from travelling. I, again bought 10 2 week-olds just two weeks ago. They all are doing fine until this evening that I noticed one looking very weak, closing the eyes, then on a closer monitoring, I discovered a greenish faeces. I called my brother who has an ideology of it, told me to use tetracycline for it and isolate. After usage, it still looks weak but still alive even at 12midnight. I am gonna be applying lasota vaccination in the morning to all of them.
I am hoping I won't have any Mortality after the first 5.

I am happy to have come across this thread and I will sure join along in conversations as I am looking to expand in January along with fishery.

*Together, we can achieve a great, growing economy only if we pull ourselves together and along.

If they are weak, don't vaccinate. Use drugs like admacine or gumbocine in water for five days and apply polidine to the house floor to clear any bacterial mess in the house.

After all these, you can then vaccinate.

guess you weren't well advised. I have 30 broilers too and they eat 1 bag per week. I bought 8 bags of feed when I bought the birds in September, thinking they'll last till December, but I was wrong.

as you've been advised, try to get money to feed them so your investment in them won't be a waste. don't worry ehn, December is here already, you'll soon smile.

Thanks once again.

That polidine, can I apply to the floor with the births in the house or out?

Then can I vaccinate the other birds who are not weak?

Sprinkle the mixture to the floor with the birds no problem. Even if it touches the water, it doesn't hurt. Infact polidine can be taken by poultry birds for disinfection.

Instead of vaccination, why not give at once. Give those drugs I mentioned earlier to all of them before vaccination.

Low density means less litter change and likely more health for the birds.

Ur spacing is good at least ur birds will have good play time and like someone side it's also good for health and will reduce ur litre dirtiness but try and make sure ur birds have feed always to achieve optimum weight gain and size.

Good luck
Re: Xmas Broiler Broading In Pictures by Turks: 5:23pm On Nov 04, 2017
Your birds won’t reach their required target on time as they’ll keep burning the feed eaten. Like I said, reevaluate your stocking density. Thank you.

If there are heavy possibly from the 3rd week, they won't run about. Broilers tend to stay around a single position more than other birds.

I even open my doors, and the broilers don't even move out.

‘IF’ is a strong word. Let’s have their age and a barrage weight.
