Of all the Military leaders Nigeria has had, he was the best. If you know nothing, say nothing.
I beg you to name the damages caused by him.

Check out his military appointments. No tribalism! he even went as far as inviting criticism from his brothers!
He was ill advised and it got him killed.

Old man, if your intelligence was as advanced as your age, you'll have realised that the Unification decree was the genesis of the cries for restructuring we're having today.

Azikiwe opposed the secession clause in the Constitution, Ironsi promulgated the Unification Decree and their grandchildren are regretting it.

Better get proper knowledge before you come online to disgrace yourself.

Ironsi wanted to abolish regionalism/tribalism and put a leadership that would get everyone in it controlled by a unitary system but unfortunately Nigerians, especially the military, misinterpreted his intention and saw it as igbo domination. He was not really a bad guy cool

Nigeria as a united entity will only get it right when basically tribalism is flushed down to the bottomless pit.When a yoruba man governs an ijaw state;an igbo man governs a northern state;a northerner governs an igbo state and so on.Except tribalism and all its associations is laid 12feet below the ground, the interest and progress of the country will always be haphazard and lopsided.

That's right. Nigerians did not understand his intention, they killed him whereas that unification was what nigeria needed so everyone could be under same laws rigidly enforced thereby silencing tribalism, regionalism, nepotism which are the real enemies of nigeria's progress today. cool
