Anambra state born master Tagbubo Chukwu, was today displayed to the admiration of the general public at the ongoing Anambra state first international week for the Deaf program holding at Awka, tagbubo who who Built a locally made TIPPER TRUCK and drove it all the way from onitsha to Awka the venue for the DEAF crafts exhibition, explained during an interview with the SA to the governor on sign language communication Joseph Sunny Collins, that he graduated from the special school for the Deaf, onitsha 2 years ago,and he started constructing the tipper about a year ago, even without getting a training from anybody, but by his own instincts.the Executive Governor of Anambra state, chief Willie obiano, able represented by the SSA on disablity matters,Barr. Chuks Ezewuzie, was so astonished by this level of ingenuity as he sat inside the TIPPER.and promised the state government will do all it can to assist the development of such rare skill.. tagbubo is seeking to improve his engineering skills to an advanced level and seeks support to achieve his dream..this goes to further buttress our advocacy for inclusiveness and demonstration of ability in disablity.
I plead that the Mods push this to front page so this Deaf guy can get more support to achieve his dreams.
nice innovation

Do you know one major reason why I am angry with Buhari?

After his reign in the 80s, the recession he plunged this country into and the monies that developed wings and flew away, he never developed himself in any way, he didn't add value to the life of Nigerians, only unguarded speeches which he still does to this day, only to come back and say he has few cows and an unlocated land in PH and some bigots and carefree people voted.

Now here is a deaf and dumb man doing something with his life. I will choose this deaf man to rule a country over Buhari
you have said it all buharism is a disease and a curse to the Nigeria geographical regions.

Being deaf doesn’t mean he doesn’t have a brain to know that he has just built something as useless as a handless bucket!

Let us stop promoting mediocrity !! The Japanese just built a motor bike that can stabilize itself, have also built a motor bike riding robot aiming to challenge Rossi. Innovation not reinventing! He might as well have made a wheelbarrow

He is being lauded not because of what he built but because of the apparent and latent talent he has. Talent that can do wonders when nurtured in the right environment and circumstances.

Get your perception right.

Where you see a "useless contraption", a Harvard professor of mechanical or automobile engineering is seeing "raw" talent and genius that needs to be harnessed for the good of mankind.

Wonder why we are backwards? Don't wonder anymore. You know why!

Some people are chronic bad losers: they can't achieve anything in their life; and when someone shows a little skill/talent you see them flexing muscle in criticisms and fault-finding.
While many of his folk - the disabled - are begging for alms, this youg man has shown ability in disability.
You'll move from there to built trucks of the 21st century!

it's actually funny the way most people reason, this is a prototype locally made tipper from scraps...I was there and personally saw this guy driving this thing around,it may not be what you expect, but he built it without assistance from anyone, just a high school leaver....he actually drove if from onitsha to Awka....now if he could do this without any advanced studies on mechanics, then imagine what he can do when this talent is harnessed ....

Some comments here are worrisome, a deaf man that refused to be a street begger constructed this without any former knowledge and people were writing nonsense about him just because he is an Igbo man, sometimes ago one Hausa boy built a toy car and some idots where celebrating him to the point of giving him scholarship even when we knew it a waste investment.

''without any training''. This is genuine talent. Like someone said, with the right training and funding, he will do much better.

God bless his efforts.
