No one is "quarelling" with you.

Let me reiterate what she said :

1. No vex for MIL
2. Maybe MIL was trying to pacify or cuddle YOUR child on the bed and also fell asleep from exhaustion.
3. Maybe your bed is more comfortable than MIL e.t.c

I 'used' to hate people entering my bedroom. I particularly hated it when people lied down on my bed. I 'felt' it was inappropriate or even disrespectful . Be it my own family or my husband's.

Just like you, I have a shared bedroom with my husband and that was/is where we do the do. (so anytime we were into it, I would be imagining the people lying there watching us) We didn't use the other room because there wasn't a bed in it.

But now that we have two beds, I feel differently.

So, I understand.

some babies will never use bottles like my boys,as it is my bottle packs are still unopened after 2 kids,infact you need to see the disgust on their faces when i bring a bottle of breastmilk or anything to them whether i did or another person

what i did;I alternated between spoon/plate and cups.I dont know how old your lo is but you need to make him accustomd to it before starting work.you can also try pap/sma gold with spoon...

Thank you. I am trying to be calm but it is draining. He vomitted this morning again after dh managed to get him to take a little. I dont know if he is rebelling or the milk is not just going down well with his system. He is 3months and 2 weeks.

This thing can be hard ehh, especially when you are resuming work, monday is around the corner. What worked for my last baby was: i changed the bottle i got(avent) to timmie toppie abi na toppie timmy, some1 told me it was soft like a nipple and bla bla, she took the milk small when i changed bottle, just small oh. I was still looking for solution till i was advised to try aptamil, i did and on the 2nd day she took it. They said aptamil tastes close to breastmilk.... problem be say the price wasn't funny but God provided. In summary, persistence, bottle and milk.
I know this time i'm going to start formula by 2 months, i don't want to enter the kind desperado mode i entered before. Goodluck dear.

Thank you everyone for the wishes. Straight to my secondhand BS. I know this doesn't come often. Anyway, here it goes...

We TTCed for about a year and half before God answered our prayers. Details of that is in my previous posts on TTC thread. If you haven't gone through a conscious delay in conception, especially, first conception that leads to childbirth, you are unlikely to grasp what TTC couples go through.

The bfp came when we least expected it. In fact, confirming it at the test center was adrenaline x1000. Eventually, we did and got our joy. As a husband, my DW's pregnancy journey was a uphill task o. She had MS from day 1 till the end. Her food itinerary was basically eba and fufu, as nothing she ate stayed long enough in her stomach to be considered as food. She also had heart burn, where she constantly needed to take mistmag to suppress it. For this reason, she ate very low peppery diets all through. In fact, her main soups were ogbono and ewedu. Each time we go out to eat something different, I always have to lick out her meat before she eats, since the vendors usually cook their meat with the main soup.

At a point, she had haemorrhoids. Did sitz baths to ease the pain she was going through. Then during the 6th month or there about, she had suspected appendicitis, which was taken care of through bombardment of antibiotics and as God would have it, the pain subsided, and she didn't complain about it, even till date.

As the pregnancy progressed, i could sense she was tired of the pregnancy and at the same time scared, especially at the tail end. She lost her mucus plug unknown to her. I was about having my bath after she was done with hers when I saw a huge "kelebe" on the floor. Asked if she "ha kelebe" in the bathroom, she said No. Anyway, that was how the mucus plug came off. Note that she had been having contractions since the 38th week. This progressed and the intensity equally increased, but never to the point where doctors call active labour. Her dilation was stuck at 2cm when we noticed she had started leaking. At first we thought it was urine, since she urinated on per second billing. This was our undoing, as we ought to have reported the issue. We were expecting a burst, but I guess hers was the type that trickles. The leakage increased, and had to inform the gynae, who in turn asked us to report immediately we notice any form of leakage. Anyway, I told him we've been experiencing the leakage for about 2days, whereas, truthfully, it has gone on for about 2weeks, that is since 38weeks.

Remember the fear I told you about, even at this point, she still wanted to go back home, while hoping the doctor will discharge her asap. Do I mention she worked till the Friday she was admitted? Unfortunately for her, gynae gave us two options, induction or Caesarean. He also advised that considering the size of the baby and my wife's body frame, the induction might be unsuccessful, which could eventually lead to an emergency CS. This I felt why allow my wife suffer twice, if induction fails. As per baby weight, the weight gain was astronomical, just last week, she was only 2.8kg , this week the baby became 3.7kg, and just two days after, it was discovered to have risen to 3.9kg.

We decided to have the surgery done, but the transition from her leaving with the nurses to the delivery room till when she was wheeled back to the ward was the longest minutes of my life. Perhaps, I would've requested to go in with them, but I sincerely don't know what my reactions would be. I hope I would've even allowed the doctor touch her. While waiting, I understood what it meant to be going up and down, as seen in the movies, while checking every entrance point. Trust me, I was not a boss on this day.

Sucour finally came when our daughter was brought in and being cleaned up, but believe me, my wife's condition was equally important, (don't wanna say "more important), so no rest yet. Minutes later, wifey was wheeled in still unconscious. I was happy, but unlike many fathers, the happiness was a short one, as all I could see were a huge responsibility given to us by God, which we cannot fail in, while He supports us.

The paediatrician came in later to announce to us that our delay in reporting to the hospital might have caused sepsis for the baby, and would stay for 10 days. However, baby looks very healthy, eats well, not pale and very active. Anyways, blood samples have been taken, and until the results comes out, we are considering going home with her, as soon as DW is discharged.

I didn't go to church today, why My big oversize skirt that i thought even in a million years would not be undersize, but guess what? na so i try make i manage the skirt naim the zip just spoil kpata kpata , that was how i gave up and sat down.... Na so DH come ask me simple "why are you not yet ready"? I went crazyyyyyy on the guy oh, oga just stand dey look very confused, upon that i begin cry oga is still confused till now ... right now i am laughing at myself and wondering what da hell was i mad for? abeg Jan hurry and come oh.

maybe your lo has found your 'mumu' button and is pressing it real hard. i started giving formula early but still i had serious issues when it was time to resume. i felt he didn't want formula so i got a breast pump. for where? all the milk i pumped was wasted because 'oga' no gree take from bottle. i tried spoon-feeding, changed bottle, changed teat. nothing worked. i contemplated resigning from my job because i couldn't bear to leave him crying in a creche but my mum refused. she insisted that he would eat if i'm not around. the first day of my resumption was like hell for me. i kept calling my mum every minute untill she got exasperated and warned me not to give myself high blood pressure. to my surprise, when i returned home, i found my son drinking formula happily.

he is one year plus now but anyday i'm at home, he refuses to eat any other thing except breastmilk. so maybe your baby will eat when you are not around.

It's OK to feel angry or express feelings, but letting some things slide in marriage, is still in order. You are from a different background as they are. If you complain to him, he may not really understand what the heck you talking about. Take things easy. It's easier to give your family rules and they abide by it, than in-laws. You can carry the mattress up to air it daily. Putting it down when you want to sleep. She will soon leave, but if she leaves with a bad story, it may come back in years. No body will ask for your version of the story. Rather,you working hard to change the story. A little discomfort today for an enjoyable tomorrow, it's our choice based on decisions we take. Hv always bn a guest, bt i'm moved to comment. I am a male and must tell u truth. Ifyalways ur comment is very poor. No wonder dey say maturity is not by age. I believe u're a granny as i learnt bt other mamas speech sounds more maturely than urs, u sounded too troublesome. Nw let me be candid here, i am married bt2b sincere i wl nt welcome my mum laying on the bed i share wit my wife in my bedroom. If she goes2 lay d baby wht stops her frm leaving.
