If you want to set up a business and make huge returns in the shortest possible time, naija is the best place for you. You start your business with no stress. Naija is also the place where you can get very rich easily if you know what to do.

But if you care so much about orderliness and functionality, healthcare, quality education, security, etc maybe consider living abroad.

Me I want to have what both worlds offer, once I set myself up well here na to start to dey invest for naija o. No dulling at all!

25 year mortgage ransom + credit card ransom + store card ransom + car finance ransom etc etc

Infact the ransom three much........ That's why when we ask for small change, then no dey gree pick our calls again....... After enticing us with lovely pictures of wealth.....

So why ask “ransom-ee’s” for small change in the first place? undecided

Or get peeved when the request isn’t granted? And the requestee’s calls are avoided?? grin

The longer you stay here, the more your tolerance level for the Nigerian system diminishes to the point where home country becomes a “project intention” but never a “reality”. Mind you, it’ll take you a good couple of years and kids to get to that point.

Oga justwise, by family of five he meant two parents and three kids not five kids as you implied. Most likely such a person will be on welfare aka child benefit, let's assume he is not paying mortgage then what of rent? He might pay from 400 to 600 pounds per month depending on how he wants to live his life. In all, it's not a good thing to earn such per year while living in UK. This is the reason some people living in there cannot invite friends and family over because they are already a liability to the country so it has stripped them of their legal rights to host any possible visitors

So pple should work dem selves to death so they can have the privilege of inviting families??

How many pple in Nigeria have two jobs for the sole purpose of inviting relatives to lagos to become a liability?

N10m won’t go far in Naija. You can’t even buy a decent plot of land with it.

Not really.

We've got over 4 kids (at different stages of schooling including private education), and we certainly aren't on welfare or receiving any help from the government.

Depends on how often they're used / worn. True a lot of their clothing don't last especially on a medium wash of 40 degrees C. The colours will run. But I discovered you can beat that by washing (mixed colours) at 30 degrees quick, cold wash cheesy

Primark's good for kids as they quickly outgrow their clothes. I did go shoe crazy once but their handbags last a lot longer than their shoes. angry

Primark saved me wen my kids were babies, lol

U know how they poo and the poo will escape from diapers to the clothes eh? I will just wrap all the clothes with the shirt oo, trouser oo , inner wear ooo, all to bin, grin shebi na primark cheesy cheesy

Lol!!

The early years are the toughest but na disposable nappies we use na. From Netto (not my choice oh!) angry Me I wanted Pampers brand but oga say nappy na nappy. No be to poo inside and throw away??

Re: Primark, spot on. You can’t go wrong there. Although I did do Mothercare when I started working, I quickly learnt that kids outgrow their clothes so fast, it’s just not worth it. But the baby stretch suits are cute sha kiss

Investing in Nigeria by proxy is always a problem because of trust issues.

Investing here is a good idea if you see the opportunity.

Keeping money in savings account here is waste of money as interest is close to nothing.

Nigeria value system is so wrong, people throw figures around carelessly even when the product doesn't worth it.

I think its better to buy a house and redevelop it than buying a land to build on.

Stocks and shares.

Buy low sell high. You only lose if you sell low.

Amazon and google shares are good $1.111.60 and $1.049.00 per share at the moment.

Will definitely buy when the opportunity comes no doubt

Is that cheaper?

And how can you be sure the “seller” is genuine? It’s not uncommon to find multiple owners who claim the land / property wasn’t the seller’s to sell in the first place.

I know it sounds negative but anything Naija rings my alarm bells... undecided

You are a learned and wise man. When you are ready to do this, you can always reach out and i can share what am into myself.

Also, i observed that amongst all Naija in Diaspora the larger percent of people who fit into the item you have described above(have both worlds as you stated) are those in Germany. Yes, Business wise in Naija alot of people in Germany have done well for themselves in this aspect.. (The smart ones though)
Try to network with people around(from other countries too), make new friends, learn new things and exploit other fields.

The Best.

You get blocked because no one likes leeches or parasitic relationships. As per tasting the power of ££, it’s quite easy. Go over and hustle for your own, not others’. The people who do it don’t have two heads sir.

And I was about to ask you if you could spare me some change....

I would not knowingly want to leech or be a parasite, but when Nigeria's economical issues are beyond the powers of the common man. We extend our plea to those we feel might be able or willing to help......

Thanking you in advance. Thank you......
