scammers everywhere you go, I thank God I did not fall into the hands of this guy called Genga aka lesgup I called him on different occasions abt plantain farm but I don't have the intention of giving my money for him to do it on my behalf because one thing I hate most in my life is giving people or another person what I can learn to do and do it very well. it remain me of Ibijoke alalubosa sometimes ago , a lady that sells onions , I visited her office and she told me that I should come and partner with but that is not my own style I love getting involve in the work no matter what.

I think people shld be aware of the fraudulent act going on in that Ogbomosho farm land even buying land there to farm will eventually Leeds to scamming , pls genuine people on Nairaland be wise with your hard earnings.

I think Mr GBENGA should beg his business partner to give him another chance by replanting for him this coming season the number of agreed hectares he paid for. Since it's a management contract of which Mr GBENGA has convinced him of his knowledge and experience to plant till harvest without indicating any possibility of fire or loss during the period. I am of the opinion that the victim passed the farming risk to him in lieu of management fee of which was fully paid with the cost of planting and other. We can't be expecting the victim to bear the total lose after paying management fee.

Everybody should bear it in mind that any investment on agriculture carries a bigger risk.
If anybody says there is no risk in it run for your life.
There is no full time farmers on Nairaland including me. If you want to farm start with a little you can afford to lose as a practical.

Of all the businesses I have done in this world, farming is number one in terms of risk. Anybody participating in farming by proxy simply wants to throw away money. I don talk my own.

Op, go and visit your farm and ask Legsup to replant your stuff (if he has not done so) so you recoup what you can. Next time, use your head. Northern farmers with experience full ground.

I believe there is a document called the prospectus, and investors are always advised to consult with their financial advisors before taking a decision, not to consult with the company people they want to invest in.

The OP is the owner of the money. It is his duty to have performed due diligence on an investment to be made with his hard-earned money, especially given his precarious situation.
