rozay12345: Delta has a good road network between towns, better than other Niger Delta States. The problem here is most of state's population is located to the south- warri/Effurun axis which is also the economic nerve of the state. Asaba is at the extreme north of Delta State. Infact the last town before you cross into the south east which makes no common sense. I remember when I was processing a scholarship doc in school, I had to travel each to Asaba 2hours away to get my papers signed. Now imagine how difficult it is for business men when all the state govt ministries and parastatals are 2 hours away. 1 Like |

Very minor issue we will escalate it because of ethnicity. Come to think of what will happen if Nigeria is divided into regional federating units. Our fights will not get part 2............ 1 Like |

aniomafirstson:I don't understand why some people find it difficult to accord the Aniomas their due respect in the Delta project. I know colleagues who vowed that not in their lifetime will an Anioma man rule Delta State. Today, they are still alive and nursing the pain of their unguided hatred. I think what we should be concern about is good governance and how to move Delta State forward. 5 Likes |

Amberon11:The most prominent people are uhrobos? lol I am not talking about ayiri or ibori type of influence. PLEASE , list one uhrobo man that can be compared to Kachikwu. Forget about Ngozi okonjo iweala, or UTOMI, or even Emefele. Those ones are greater than most Nigerians. Even in sports, Okocha, olisheh, steven, Keshi and many of the brighest in Nigerian history are from Delta North. Delta north is far advanced compared to the rest of Delta. 5 Likes |

Sunnycliff: Lack of understanding. There should have been three govt houses in every state - one in each senatorial district. Development is supposed to be even in all the three senatorial zones in every state. Important govt infrastructures in one zone must be done in other zones. That's why Nigeria is divided into senatorial zones for even development. But in Nigeria, there are states whose state capital contains and covets every development in the state. In Imo state for example, people of Owerri think it is strange for government to do any development project outside the state capital. Governor Okorocha believes same, and has done 96% his projects in Owerri capital. Okorocha even tries to close a teaching hospital not built in the state capital, and wants to transfer it to state capital, because he does not understand why a teaching hospital could be outside the state capital. |

All these ones dragging over who owns delta state should keep deceiving themselves. I just don't know what is wrong with we Nigerians. I'm currently serving in delta state, Aniocha south to be precise. Even though Okonja & other notable people comes from that region, the place is still very very underdeveloped. Imagine ngozi okonjo's hometown should be without electricity & good road network for over 7 years!? No light, no water, nothing nothing! Big shame! Thank God for a man called SOUP, Ogwashi-uku would have still been in darkness till this moment 1 Like |

profmiganigal:warri being a militant zone(I don't subscribe to this idea) doesn't stop her from being the most developed city in Delta both economically and otherwise. Apart from enjoying "capital status", Asaba should be in the same bracket with Agbor and ughelli(this is arguable).... meanwhile, you are from Anambra and you are dabbling in Delta arguments. |
