Bodmas says this should be solved in this order; bracket, of (order), division, multiplication, addition and subtraction.

My own solution, starting from the left;

8×3= 24 (multiplication)

-12÷2=-6 (division)

3+4=7 (bracket)

-3+7=4 (addition)

Now, 24-6+(7)+4

Finally,

24-6+7+4=29

I did not comply with BODMAS.

Now, apply BODMAS to prove me wrong.

below is not following bodmas...

8×3-12÷2+(3+4)-3+7.

24-12÷2+3+4-3+7.
24-12=12;
12÷2=6

6+3+4-3+7
=17

Following your theoritical BODMAS would mean that he does bracket before order and then division before multiplication and so on...This was very helpful to us then as kids but if you have an understanding of how number works, you don't need to adhere to that. of course, you don't expect him to do the arithmetic wrongly.
