No way because Onazi offers more than Ndidi. grin

bro ... Onazi of 2013 . not the presently Onazi ... he has dropped in form seriously . i used to think Onazi will play like MiCHEAL Essien , cos of his mobility ... he needs to improve .

Actually, that was one of the reasons, i prefered him to Akpeyi. At least, he could catch crosses.

I think coaching has a lot to do with keeping. Our keepers lack the foundational knowledge and depend on natural ability. I remember watching Ezenwa during the NPFL tour of spain and noticing all kinds of basic errors. In the 90s, our best keepers kept abroad. Enyeama improved a lot when he went abroad and started working on his weaknesses. Also, Enyeama was fairly young and could learn new things.

Uzoho appears to have good foundations from Aspire academy straight to Deportivo but too young. It takes a bold coach to start him.

Ezenwa was out of position severally against Algeria. He is not a SE material.

Onazi is better choice than Ndidi because he is a better passer than Ndidi and with more better factors.

Naija people sha!!! You play well they go complain, if you no play well them still complain.
Ogu was absolutely brilliant in that match, in my opinion apart from mikel he's the best at interceptions, passes and ball holding skills, he controls a midfield and his positioning is good,he's not as slow as you guys make him look here... it's baffling that the guy who won the man of the match is still criticized..the reality right now is that you should not be suprised if he becomes a regular because he took his chance in that match. I would not be suprised if onazi sees more of the bench after the Algeria game.

there was one glaring difference between Friday's match and other games, none of the players playing the DMF role at any time was EVER caught entirely out of position. It is funny that we all agree that Onazi is always caught out of position but nobody wants to say the truth that this past friday, our DMF always manned his position, the effect was that most(if not all their chances) came from Aina's wing, the middle was well defended. Onazi is not it

... in that aspect you re right ... Onazi makes good better passes , but check his decisions making and tackles in our previos match ... you will pick Ndidi ahead of him

I doubt he will bench the regular starters but he did well. The goal added an extra bit of garnish.

its been long we play with one man down ... if OGU BECOMES A STARTER , WE WILL ALWAYS EXPERIENCE THAT .... Especially against a skilful midfield . deny him of the ball and lose your leg ... i am not saying he cant get better but he needs to improve in that aspect of his games ... it was his goal that earned him that MOTM . his performance was average .

Exactly. Coupled with his poor passing, Ndidi can also be easily dribbled but makes up with his neat tackles. Onazi on the other hand could be caught out of position sometimes but he reads the game well and has been doing slightly better than Ndidi with his passes in recent games. I definitely wouldn't start Ndidi ahead of Onazi if l must choose between both.

Idowu, Aina and Ebuehi can play RB. That competition is a contrbuting factor to Shehu's play, i believe.

Whether it is a contributory factor or not, Shehu stands apart from the others. He is the favorite for that position.

ENG vs GER

I'm almost done watching the first half

For a debutant, Tammy had a pretty good game. Good positional awareness. Was never overwhelmed by the occasion. Good link ups. Did not play like a debutant. Great attempt at goal. So far i'd give him a 7/10.

If not for incompetency of the Algerian players in front of goal, we for chop pass 5 goals yesterday.

I can still remember the one they stole the ball from Ogu or Etebor that almost led to goal.

Ok we agree to disagree.
SerVik:

Well, we'll just have to agree to disagree.

I like Ighalo and he remains my choice for the CF role, his hold up play, ability to bring teammates into play, his constant drifting that creates holes for the support striker to pounce and his on-ball movement, ball control edges him over Iheanacho. Iheanacho's first touch is atrocious by the way.

But when it comes to off-ball movements, pressing, positioning, awareness, speed etc Iheanacho bosses him.

their first chance was a cross from the wings that slimani nodded wide, at this point Ndidi was the DMF and he was where he should be, Aina was at fault, DMF THUMBS UP.

Second chance was also a cross from the left which Ezenwa missed and which was prodded wide, in this case everybody did their work, even the CB stopped to allow Ezenwa collect an easy pass/cross, the DMF then was Ogu and he was close, I checked.

The next chance was a corner, infact the next two chances were corner kicks and except you think Onazi would have done better in the air it wasn't the DMFs fault. Please tell me any bonafide chance that came through the middle, I am waiting

we have never had the best in the domestic league being called as 2nd or 3rd chioce goal keepers for the national team...the case of agbim still fresh in our memory the best goalkeepers in the domestic scene are always bypassed for less ones....

ezenwa is not the best we have in the domestic scene not even first chioce for his club side......but how he kept getting national call ups baffles me...

that plateau United goal keeper is way better and a better ball playing goal keeper....

I think the likes of alampasu and uzoho should be tried...and let see what they have to offer...

I am not in support of keeping them in the bench...same thing keshi did no one ever thought akpeyi was better than agbim...
not not until his full debut against south Africa....

I think them all should be given a chance...I have a deep feeling that either of ajiboye, uzoho or alampasu could just steal the show.....

regarding Mikel's replacement....I don't there will be any...for now. same vacuum we had after okocha and kanu retirement we will have when Mikel retires....
until we have a player who will emerge with his own style and skills...

so unfortunate...
On goalkeepers bro you nailed it.

This is the time to give Uzoho, Alampasu and Ajiboye a chance.

I watched Ajiboye against Guinea and i realized he is better than Ezenwa and Akpeyi, just too glaring.

Uzoho against Girona is better than Ezenwa, just too simple to know a good keeper.

I can't really say much on Alampasu but a second choice keeper in Portuguese league is better than any second choice keeper in NPFL cos Ezenwa was a second choice at Ifeanyi Uba last season.

I wish to see Uzoho in goal against Argentina.

Ndidi's passing both against Zambia and Algeria has not been very good.

Onazi's passes against Cameroon were not fantastic either. In both matches he played the CMF role predominantly so all he had to do was to keep it tidy which he did. Recall that against Senegal(?) in a friendly his long balls were spot on. If you tell him to play those long passes you will see why he is playing for Leicester

Two different things: Poll for who impressed the most.
And
My opinion on Tammy's game.

Did you watch the game? It's expected that most of you won't say anything good about Tammy especially at this stage.
If he had a bad game from what i've seen so far, I will say it as it is.
