With all the bad things happening and the people dying. We all have a share of these natural happenings. The whole world didn't forget God still exist.
We live in a fallen world. sin and lawlessness still exists. Until those are completely wiped out, people will still die; there would still be diseases and sicknesses; sorrows and pains. In all these God has still not forgotten us. God always comfort us and He promised to restore all things.

Losing a loved on can be very heart broken and devastating. U are left witha void that might never be filled.
Death is the worst thing anyone can feel. Why would God allow anyone go through it? The pain, sleepless nights, the emptyness...

I lost my born again mum in 2010... i asked God a lot of whys. She prayed, the pastors prayed, my dad had so much faith that she would never leave him... it devastated the poor man.
I met my late ex when i went for my mums burial. She died in a moto accident in 2013... that was the breaking point for me... an incident i will never forget.

The thing is that different people cope with pain in different ways. Some hold unto God as imaginery as he is for hope. Others may wonder and ask why... some run mad.

For me... i wasnt capable of accepting that a God will be alive and watch me go through such pain. I dont know of others but i personally dont know what i have done or what i did to deserve such trauma that shattered me.

Its not possible for God to exist and watch, not only me but millions of people go through even worst than what i went through.
And to think that people have been going through this for years. Its like a circle of pain... u lost someone and feel the pain someone lost u and feel their pain. It all ends in pain and emptyness.

Where does God come in in all these if he exist?

This is a God who takes credit for all the temporary joy we go through... is he not capable of stoping us from going through this pain every human seems to have to feel?

I sometimes wish God exist... we will never go through this pain and there will be no need for all these flimsly excuses for the so called almighty loving creator.

I won't like to be called an atheist too, but I don't believe in the existence of a religious god. I didn't lost anyone, it's just that religion is too contradictory and confusing. I'm tired of having endless faith, I'm tired of sacrificing my indispensable tool of reason on an altar of superstition and I'm tired of living because of a supposed good reward.

I am not trying to convince you that God exists, that's for you to find out when you die. My point is, if your reason for dropping your faith is because you lost someone that you loved then it's obvious that you never really understood what Christianity is about.

You and I tow the same line of thought. I'm not an atheist, but heck, I repudiate religion.

So, what makes me renounce my religious belief? Seeing that those who call themselves christians or moslems are actually worse than those they call sinners.

Like how can somebody who call himself a christian/moslem refuse to pay his/her workers their salary, cheat, steal, lie, fornicate, commit adultery, deceive, engage in homosexuality etc.

Good day, First i want to say i am so sorry for your loss

Even though i am an atheist and dont believe in the God myth, i think rejecting a belief in God because of tragedy is a bad reason for rejection in my opinion.

Why you may ask, well there could be a God who allows evil in the world, or a God who doesnt care if there is evil or not, or a God who is just outrightly Evil!, A tragedy doesnt falsify the existence of a God, so if you want to defend your position, you should have more grounds for rejection than just the allowance of tragedy in the world.

For me, i am an atheist because there has not been any evidence whatsoever to prove the existence of God and frankly all the myths i have heard including the christian myths and the islamic myths are just so illogical and plainly ridiculous.

There is no logic under the sun you can present to me in any debate to refute my belief in the existence of a creator. Yet, I can't come here every to fight atheistic ideas as if I have no reasonable life plan.

Very soon, I will be saying a goodbye to this argument, I already got reasonable things going on with me. Maybe, I would do that with a farewell debate.

I was once a christian to atheist and finally to panthiest.
I believe that their is an almighty their who created this earth but I don't believe in religious god. They are bunch of decievers and fabricated story.
