These vending machines can dispense sandwiches, hot coffee, tea etc and can also microwave dispensed snacks. Usually we're stuck with this on weekends when the restaurants in the premises are closed.

I really embarrassed myself the first time I tried to use it... Don't blame me, I'm not posh at all!
I needed coins for the laundry mart in the area we stayed in Arlington, I was asking peeps around if I could get a 'quarter' until someone said...why not change to coins on the vending machine. I was lost...I eventually asked for help. Lol

NHS has announced plans to ban them.

What I choose to do here, where I choose to go or how I choose to live my life is not your freaking business bro. No be you carry me come, so take your opinion & give to someone who needs it or rather, you can shove it.
Don`t forget that you invited free comments, so you will get the ones you don`t like. You haven`t even spent a single month in this country and you are getting angry? Save that energy till later!

Stop taking paracetamol for my headache. Face your life sir.

I thought there were plans to do away with these vending machines due to the health implications (unhealthy snacks).
I think in schools and hospitals only

grin grin it appears you're the one not getting on with life here, on someone else's thread, wasting your time and making a fool of yourself, dishing out unsolicited advices.

Go and find something productive to do egbon.
Actually, the pieces of advice there would always be useful to all intelligent immigrants that are new in the UK, that is why it`s there. As to finding something productive to do, well, addiction to Owanbe and living beyond my means have long taken care of that!

I'm sorry but i will not treat you differently because you started this thread, you insulted ATERI for his comment and i hide it AND other posts from ATERI.

Initially i wanted to allow this thread to be only about your diary but you asked me to allow people to post that you will ignore unnecessary ones.

UKmigrant:
Hi @justwise and other moderators, I know many people like to post unrelated comments and try to derail the thread, but I think its OK for now. I can respond to sensible ones and ignore the rest. Kindly allow everyone to comment freely, maybe I can also learn a thing or two from others who have threaded this path or even learn other things unrelated to my thread.

Thanks.

That, actually is the best advice you have received here.
U can't get this wonderful advice from your best friend in UK.

All these swearing up and down. At least show that you have left the shores of Nigeria by being civil even though u don't like his advice.
Thank u for ur advice but I will want to do things my own way etc is a better way to respond than that eyesore you wrote up there.
Anyway, all the best in your endeavours.

Re: The Adventures Of A New UK Migrant by Nobody:
ATERI:
Going to Owambe party a couple of days after your arrival in the UK, accepting an offer of credit card from HSBC, as well as the thought of buying a car (which I assume is the reason why you are trying to get a new driving licence) are classic examples of how not to start a new life in the West. But does that mean there are universal rules to be followed by all and sundry? Of course, not!

Paying your bills regularly through your bank account, and having your name on the electoral register would help to boost your credit rating. This is the best time to concentrate on saving as much as possible!
So I went back in time & took one of my mentors' advices & tada! my name would be on the electoral register from next month! Thanks egbon! Next advice to follow:
1. No owanbes 4 me cry
2. No car angry
3. Give up my credit card lipsrsealed

I'll get these tattooed on my forehead grin so I never forget.
