MASSOB though wasn't an Anambra thing alone just like IPOB, so no single state governor has power over them. You need to realize that IPOB rose in an era of social media, so has many more followers than MASSOB ever did, both home and abroad and more followers increases the weight of influence.

And governors are in a tight position here, how much can they support their people, especially if they believe in their cause, without going against the constitution that swore them into power which they swore to uphold?
Do you know that if Obiano publicly spoke against the proscription due to the fact Ipob are yet to be violent, he would have gotten more support and trust for the people. But the man remained silent since then, and he came here to tell us abt restructuring. Medicine after death to me if you ask. Just look at the way Seun disgraced the a whole governor just because he could convince the audience with what he has done and what he will do if re elected

This woman you are not in Anambra. I know Ngige's thinking in this election more than you. Apc is banking on rigging this election, but it will not be easy.

From this debate and the feelers on ground, I think the battle is between Obiano and Nwoye, Obaze only spoke grammar and nothing more
The battle has always been between Nwoye (rigging) and Obiano (popular vote), obaze will not even win his LGA. That is why he was fuming today

You have never devoted this sort of energy to fight for good governance in your dead Abia state. Why? Why are Abia state people always chasing shadows? Anambra is already doing pretty well under APGA, go home to your state and fight for genuine change. Stop neglecting Abia, your state.

Africonji:

No sister, what Obi and Obaze are doing is a solid political strategy because Oseloka is leveraging on Obi's clout and structures for visibility. Mind you that Obaze is not a politician, he is a sound, competent, and experienced technocrat but not a typical politician, just like Obi campaigned heavily for Obiano before. Even Obiano is also not a typical politician and is really using other APGA politicians like Victor Umeh structures. If not for Okwute clout and structures, Obaze will not be a leading candidate like he is now.

Sad for Nwoye and Obaze. Zoning was factored in and Anambra South are getting impatient to see their turn. They all rallied round Obiano because they know the chance of smelling that seat with either Nwoye or Obaze is bleak. All the men with clout from the South (Nnewi, Aguata, Orumba) are behind Obiano. That's politics for you. When Peter Obi introduced zoning it was for selfish reason we had better candidates than the relatively unknown Obiano, but he sold him on zoning grounds. Today, most of us now believe in the zoning. It should be extended to National level.
Sadly, zoning has come to stay in Nigerian politics and it seems like the only thing that can guarantee equity. I fell in love with Chidoka this night. I hope he keeps faith Alice till 2030 ( if Nigeria still exist by then).

Imagine including Abakaliki street as part of the roads his administration built? Ifite road was in a deplorable state before he came in as governor and he did nothing. Election came around and he sent out highly unqualified contractors there to waste taxpayers money in the name of road construction( they've been working on gutters since the beginning of the year till this day). Is it the flyovers that can't even accommodate articulated vehicles? One wonders the essence of the project in the first instance since it has woefully failed to address traffic congestion at Aroma in particular. I can go on and on

Obaze was ranting like a mad man, attacking obiano. He made no points.. Obiano won the debate.. Shikena.. Obiano made the contestants look like fools after they finished ranting about anambra airport only for willie to tell them that anambra govt will not contribute 1 kobo. Also obiano thoroughly took peter obi to the cleaners which I enjoyed.. He stopped the attention peter obi was craving for in this debate when he said, I'm not contesting against peter obi... lmaoooo tongue tongue

All elections in Nigeria since 1999 have always been rigged, Anambra isn't an exception. APC will only win if it is well rigged and of course the Federal govt in full support. APC is the central party and you know that.
