And plaetton , have you gone through Platinga's arguments against naturalism ? Its a profound one . Hopefully you have the brains to understand how self-defeating and useless naturalism which you religiously subscribe to is .

Oga Platinga for me for has to be the smartest philosopher of this era . He clearly showed the holes in naturalism and how the position falls of its own weight .

Many naturalists like plaetton are ignorant of this and purporting the position as truth whereas naturalism if it were true requires total skepticism of everything and this includes naturalism itself . The bullsheet defeats itself beautifully .

Again , this is why I strongly believe most atheists are not smart . From the discussion above on naturalism , since natural selection is only interested in our survival and religion which was supposedly created by man aids our survival , why stand against this belief . From a naturalist position , you shouldn't care less if it is true since our cognitive faculties are wired for survival not attainment of truth , you should be concerned if it aids our survival and not if the belief is true or false .

And since it has proven to have aided and has continued to aid our survival , why stand against it as a naturalist ?
