Over 15 million for a plot of land that's is not even in Owerri , then you expect us to come back home and build ?

The price of land in the east is too much

I'm setting up a 50 hectares plantation in Ogun next year , I know how much I'm leading the land in a year trust me I won't lease a hectare for that amount in my home state imo state

With 2.5 million you can lease 500 hectares in Ogun ,Osun or oyo , even less in places like kwara ,kogi and benue ...
Leasing a plot of land in imo I was told over 20k a year and That's the cheapest I saw

And we say we want Biafra ??

land is expensive in the southeast due to small supply, high population density, attachment of people to the ancestral land which makes them unwilling to sell, less widespread poverty etc but comparing the cost of LEASING land in the rural areas of the southwest to the cost of BUYING land in a developed residential area in the east is totally wrong on your part.it's like comparing apples to oranges. the cost of leasing agricultural land in Niger state would make land owners in Ogun state look like thieves. you should apologise to the lady for derailing her thread.if you're not interested in her offer, you should have passed.

Oga I doubt the 500 hectares of land you lease with 2.5 million is in agbara or abeokuta. Their are places in imo and abia you can get a plot for 100,000

100k would get you 6 plots if not 10 in equivalent place in Ogun

Bros, These are 419 people o! I hope you have already fallen for their scheme.

Just know a lot of people shouting "biafra" today are insincere and just doing so to exploit their fellow Igbos one way or another. Please disregard these men. if you really want to buy land in Owerri go there and make contact with reputable estate firms or you can buy directly from families that own the land. if you use these people in NL who do not have land, but hope to sell the land other people have put up for sale at N1 million and they will milk N20 million from you, then goodluck with that.

you love to talk trash sometimes.
What brought biafra into this matter,?
If land is expensive in owerri just like portharcourt, then you go to ebonyi, abia ,enugu, Asaba, etc and buy land.
Stop typing like an efulefu always.

I doubt you are from Mbaise because Mbaise people are naturally intelligent. What's your point with all these baseless and unreasonable comparison? I believe you are educated, so what does economics teach you about price being determined by demand and supply? How much is land in Abuja, P.H & Lagos? Why would you mention a jungle in Ogun state in the same sentence with a fast developing highbrow area in new Owerri? Do you even know that Owerri and Enugu are the most aesthetically developed cities in Igboland hence the high demand for its lands? Your posts are so primitive and disgusting, and you had to link it with Biafra? Nna, udi nmadu gi ka ana ere n'ohu mgbe gara aga. Biko Jiri nwayo hichasia ihe ndia idere, inugo?

Are you the same person I do see on the Enugu thread or someone hacked your account? Why would you call your fellow man fraud for doing his genuine business? I'm also a land agent in Owerri and many people from nairaland have bought land in Owerri through me, but I want to tell you that in non of them have I ever added a penny to what the seller was offering to sell his land. Every sector of the Nigerian economy has fraudsters and genuine people too, but generalizing and painting everyone with the same brush is so unfair. That some Nigerians carry drugs abroad does not mean that every Nigerian is a drug peddler. In every business it's left for you to make your investigation to ascertain how genuine the person you are dealing with is. Reputation is everything, especially in the virtual world. Mind you that people will hardly buy land without asking questions on their own or discussing with the land seller. A wise agent will be eager to sell a land & earn his fee than to add money to it and scare buyers away. Let me give you a hint on how to know if the price of a land is inflated or not; when you are buying a land, demand to have the sellers number so you can talk with him directly. After doing so, discreetly send trusted friend or relative to go and make enquiry about the same land. If it is not genuine or inflated, you will be able to find out because more often than not, it's not only one agent that is entrusted to sell a given land. What you guys are doing to another person trying to do his business is so unfair to say the least.

Learn from Nnewi people and invest in your area while doing in Ogun State. Stop ridiculing yourself here. You can't use land in Mbaise that is close to Owerri capital to compare to a remote village in Ogun State pls.

Don't mind the fools.
Somebody bought a plot of land in Ilorin since 2014 at 150k, she wanted to sell it this year they were pricing it 180k. In three years a land in Ilorin only appreciated with 30k.

My cousin bought a piece of land at Oba behind Rojenny for 700k, they called him to know if he will sell 2m but the dude want to develop the property. This is less than 2 years. Now I'm hearing they are selling around Grundvig 2.5m now, something that used to like 450k-500k

a plot of land at the federal houses gate was reportedly bought for #120 million and used for a high rise hotel.the estate is outside Onitsha o. on the other hand, land is dirt cheap in Niger state compared to his Ogun state. his comparison is entirely wrong but this is the political section where all type of impostors can claim to be from Mbaise.

That’s why i pity some unscrupulous children here who ridicule themselves by thinking that Igbo land is a desert. Some of them have not travelled outside their land in the west or North yet they make noise the most. Land appreciates faster in Igboland and are very expensive.

A plot of land in my village goes for about 2.5 millon naira now. The ones inside goes for about 1.5 million naira. Some people here were accusing igbos of not wanting to sell their land to non igbos but when we challenged them to come and let's show them land to buy they couldnt do it.

Obviously they cant afford to buy our land because of the high price. We buy their land because they are very cheap. We are the reason why their land appreciates the way it does yet they will come here and senselessly talk ill against Igbo land. Its pathetic when people deceive themselves.
