The only thing i need is for JL to cross the billion dollars mark, as this is the only definition of success WB will accept to keep the universe alive

I heard Justice League's rotten tomatoes score is 43

I think Warner Bros made a huge gamble by editing out important plot points. I read that the scene where Alfred talks to the unknown hero was cut out...WTH! Those suits at WB have done more harm than good to DCEU so far.

I'm watching the JL Wednesday and I'm hoping it's good. BVS didn't live up to the hype. I'm more concerned about resurrecting Henry Cavill Superman's character who always looked dull.

Lols, the hatred for Snyder and DC is becoming ridiculous plus fans are blasting joss whedon for liking a tweet saying Steppenwolf is one of the worst villains ever

I promise you when you watch that film, you'll see no difference between Steppenwolf, Enchantress and Doomsday. I can bet that Steppenwolf would have nothing unique up his sleeves. He just wants to destroy the earth.... something we have been seeing over and over again.

Personally i'm of the opinion that hollywood should reduce the use of CGI to as much as possible. I think its starting to destroy their ability to come up with good stories, proper actings and characters. All they want to do now is to show us explosions and destructions. Some of the best movies, including superheroe movies that i've watched used minimal CGI

I doubt there is any superhero movie that doesn't use excessive CGI. Show me a superhero movie without excessive CGI, don't mention Nolan's trilogy because those films can hardly be regarded as a true superhero movie. CGI is unavoidable because a true superhero movie environment cannot be replicated practically in terms of its fantasy and surreal nature.

Although, I think Snyder should have used a fully armoured Stepphenwolf instead of using motion capture CGI. But understandably, this may not hsve allowed for so much flexibility in terms of rendering though

Well every superhore movie has used CGI, but i think a few has focused more on the characters and story they want to tell than on the visual spectacle.

Lets look at the first two Xmen movies. Sure CGI was used cause of their powers, but the film focused more on the characters and plot than the CGI battles. Thats why we ended up with a true hero like Wolverine, a real leader like professor Charles Xavier and an excellent villian like Magneto. Xmen generally was a great movie until they did the last stand, where everybody just wanted to show off their powers.
Same thing with the Wolverine trilogy... its generally good with minimal CGI except for the one he fought with Deadpool who was another computer created guy.

The first spiderman movie, the one against Green Goblin was pretty good and no excessive CGI i think, Captain America's movies have not been bad on its own and it doesn't have CGI screaming all over our faces.

In all my major qualms with movies is a good plot. I ask for nothing more after that. If they can combine the good plot with excessive CGI, then no problem. But in most cases one have to give way for the other.

Just finished watching JL, I ll try to avoid spoilers.
I noticed some scenes from the trailers are missing, we ll Polly get em in the extended edition on Blu-ray.

Steppenwolf was a pretty decent villain, he handed the league's ass to them.
Superman's return was part of the highlight of the movie.
it had humour, Flash gave the comical relief without losing the serious-drama feel typically known of DCEU.
all round 7.5

Did I enjoy it? yes, so did everyone in the studio.
will I see it again? yes

i guess ultr0n would be the best thing to ever c0me fr0m him then. Seriously, i never really liked that guy when i 1st heard snyder brought him to finish JL. And ir0nically, that guy finished JL. Brought a bad c0mp0ser, rewrote, cut and did what he liked on JL. My questi0n was, why didn't snyder hand over to patty jenkins?

Marvel is the king of CGIs. You might not notice their excessive CGI because of their preferred movie colour grading which masks a lot of these effects. Even Snyder's dark-bluish colour grading helped to mask a lot of his excessive CGI's in MOS and BVS. But I think Whedon was instructed to make the Justice League movie "brighter" and he made the colour grading a little reddish/orangish. This exposed a lot of the hidden CGI from Snyder's earlier post-production, making it look too cartoonish, a major complaint of the critics.

I think Geoff John was calling the shots, he must have badly wanted Whedon's fingerprint in the finished product. Whedon cut out a lot of important scenes including that important scene with Alfred that got everyone geeking out. He removed Lex Luthor from the main story and placed him in the after credits. Very petty decisions causing plotholes everywhere.

i hope wb learns. I just want snyder to make his own indie film so people can see his talents. Studio films are dulling him and hiding his potentials. How can u spend years making a product just to have it cut to pieces? If i was snyder, i will quit.

I really agree should quit and just work behind the scenes. Those critics will condemn any superhero movie with Snyder as the producer. I haven't seen such a bias in my life.

post credit scene, wait till very end

So Justice League did not suck. It didn't annoy me, had a couple of laughs, mostly thanks to Barry (won't be surpised if Whedon wrote all his dialogue). There were the expected rushed bits, the film is less than 2 hours, unless you wait to the very end of the credits (I didn't, I needed the loo, then didn't go back. Although, I did watch the mid credit scene).

And now that I think about the villain's plot, I'm honestly wondering why the mother boxes didn't react all that time, until now? The reason given made sense at the time, then now I think of the centuries that passed (maybe even over a millennia), I'm like nope...but continue.

Oh and Superman's face kept freaking me out. At one point even Bruce's newly shaved face just looked odd. Oh and Danny Elfman's music was meh. That mofo definitely mixed in his old Batman theme at one point. To be frank, Elfman's not the composer he used to be.

Anywho, it was a fun watch, even if the film is rather rushed - less than 2 hours for 5 major characters (Mr. 6 took his time).

JL could bomb at the box office, the dceu films could get cancelled after shazam. No more the batman, flashpoint, mos 2, jl 2, ww 2 and ss 2. We'd just have to end up watching mcu films [thats for those who'd still be interested in comic book films]
