The man Alex Ekwueme is dead and can do nothing for anybody again. Better channel the energy of posting all these pictures to another person still living.
Are YOU also dead?
Are you no longer living and posting on nairaland thereby deserving of a response?
Please confirm.

Did he resign because he was JUST the vice president huh
Did Ebitu Ukiwe not resign instead of being JUST Babangida's vice?
Let us learn to say and do right irrespective of who is involved.

Ebitu Ukiwe was already marked for death. So he got to resign when he became aware of the plot. Ebitu didn't resign just for the sake of resigning.

I think you're thick to be honest... you don't seem to have read the Rick Warren blurb that you quoted - let me explain to you... i don't hate you simply because i criticize your lack of integrity, incompetence, corruption and complete indifference to the plight of the common man.

Let me help you out.
The death of anyone is an opportunity for those remaining alive to review his life and take lessons therefrom.
Shipping an 85 year old man to London to essentially die is a waste that characterised the life of Alex Ekwueme and his politics with Shehu Shagari, NPN, PDP etc.
It is because of his bad choices and not being principled ENOUGH to raise the consciousness of others that many Anambrarians are dying on their way in Libya or being sold as slaves as they try to escape poverty inflicted by Alex Ekwueme & co.
I hope that you get it now instead of shouting hatred upandan.

todaynewsreview:
The bodies of at least 74 migrants have been washed ashore in western Libya, in the latest tragedy along the dangerous trafficking route to Europe. The Libyan Red Crescent posted photos of dozens of bodies in black and white bags lined up along the shore near the western city of Zawiya.
A spokesman for the aid organisation said there were still bodies floating out at sea as the agency had no way of retrieving them. He said the migrants were all adults, mostly from sub-Saharan African countries, and all but three were men.
The UN migration agency, the International Organisation of Migration (IOM), said the dinghy had set off on Saturday with 110 people on board. The agency said traffickers deliberately took the engines from the boat and then abandoned it to drift.

And y would they wait until d declaration of Anambra Guber winner? I smell smth fishy. Perhaps the family thought dt his presence, or making pple believe he's alive might favour his daughter (who was a running mate to someone), Bt alas, failure still wales..

He was taken to London with his family's money. Please let this rest. Alex has been out of power for over 33 years and the man who took over power from then has been invited back to rule again.
List the sins of Alex if you are really reviewing his life?

This thread is about a man passing on. Some of us feels RIP is in order, but you saints believe that we should all hate the man and shun RIPs.
So lists the reasons why you think he is part of the rut in the system?

Was Ekwueme a former Head of State/ President?
Why do we have such low aspiration and expectations for ourselves making it so easy for us to be taken for a ride and our commonwealth stolen by our public servants?
So you are accepting that jaguda Fayose is a prophet, abi?

Oh so he has no legacy other than that he's died? Shame then... sorry, RIP is the most meaningless word of all time. It does zero to help the dead. It's simply a feel good piece of noise that people throw around then promptly forget.

.......and keeps black people at the primitive level of eternal domination by whites, yellow, red etc who work assiduously to research and learn from their past in order to better shape their future.
Thanks for your uncommon wisdom on this forum sir.

The point isn't whether old age is good or not... the point is why are we falsely lionizing someone who never cared for any of us? This is why Nigeria is never going to progress... here is a guy who had the chance to change our nation for the better, but he prefered to loot the public till so he can treat himself in London while you and i deal with fake drugs in Nigeria... and all you can say is old age is a blessing? He is the reason many Nigerians will never get to old age.
Please can you shut up, b4 a curse descends on you and your generations? You little kids just come online to talk anyhow without doing proper research. Silly thing

Why? What is painful about it? What legacy did he leave us? Abeg allow these old cargos to depart one by one.
How does that amount to "attacking Alex Ekwueme as if he stole personally from you."
He asked legitimate questions about a public figure. You would have saved us all a lot of back & forth by simply answering his questions.
Why was that so difficult?
No wonder our senators do Bow & Go for ministerial nominees, instead of asking tough, relevant questions despite being the highest paid in the world, hence we end up with a Lalung who spended well money meant to pay for our victorious players and presidiot bubu has not sacked and jailed him for corruption.
Alex Ekwueme is part of that rotten legacy that is our country, in case you are wondering.

And what is wrong with having one's life being critically reviewed after one's death?
Is that not an incentive to be a good person while one is alive?
Will such critical attitude not help improve our society?
