Kog45:Joel Obi just came back from a very long injury when Keshi called him. He was not inform then but now he is in the form of his life. Let us take advantage of that by inviting him into the team. |

Kog45:When I dey halla dat time people think say I dey craze. As you said people want their players in the national team regardless of where dey trade their marks but they do it at the expense of those players performing. How come dey did not see those two stars in the Scandinavian league? Why not look Sanusi Ryan way if you are still searching for a decent DM? k Na was oooo. |

forgiveness:Good observation and comment!!!!! But can you qualify the 'We' in your comments, who are you speaking for sir because it seems you always speak for yourself as a one man army. So I will adjust that you clarify and say 'I need Obafemi, Joel Obi and Sone Aluko' I for one don't believe we need them and from several people's comments here, it doesn't seem like they need them too. |

even a half fit joel obi was still better than gabriel rueben, azeez ramon, and michael babatunde combined. Keshi RIP really took some dodgy players sha. i'm just praying for joel to stay fit till then he will definitely go to russia. however that said i don't blame any national team coach who worries about him being fit during a tournament forgiveness: |

zuchyblink:I know it is only in your village your suppose quality players can befound but wake up, this is globalization era. The headless chicken with no quality is preffered above one who was kicked out of Man city after his not known quality won him the best player and top goal scorer in Austrian league. Definitely, man city, man city scouts and Guardiola are blind and novice in terms of spotting quality talents. |

Kog45:The truth must be told. There are two lots of people in general here, football fans and people who have a deeper analytical understanding of football. Football fans are largely emotive and just like the rabble on the terraces will love to use abusive and uncouth language that borders on the profane quite a lot. The belief that who shouts the loudest has wins the argument. For instance i can disagree with TheGoodJoe and we can discuss in disagreement without lowering ourselves he is a gentleman as well as quite a few others. Top players in obscure leagues and low level clubs are the extreme exception not the rule. Although the EPL is not a benchmark it does highlight player ability on a number of fronts. Not every player can cope with the speed and physicality of the EPL and it is not for every player. In this regard I do not think Neymar would find it easy as good as he is, in this regard the much slower Ibrahomivic might be considered more effective. In conclusion what i am saying is the league and club you are in makes a whole lot of difference, so you cannot compare scoring 20 goals in the Eredivisie and La Liga or Seria A. |

sontoly:You be God wey go decide where Kayode go play for future? How do you know Onyekuru will work into Everton's first eleven? Age should not be the determinant factor rather Performance should be. |

Loogan:Ask those who played at Spain at a certain point in their career, they'd tell you how the atmosphere is there. Most of those Hispanic countries love foreigners and try as much as they can to make them comfortable. The coach who believes in him was sacked. The only reason why he had a chance at goal was because the 1st choice was injured, now that he's back, you will have to determine Uzoho is good enough to displace the 1st choice. |

Joel Obi might have been a good player but can he still perform at that top level? If so, invite him. People should however desist from insulting our present crop of players. And those clamouring for dressers. Not all players can be invited, we seem to forget that some players might not even fit in into the coach's style of play and hence they look bad. This does not mean that they are poor players. And on people claiming that a player must be in the best league to play. National team is a different ball game, ask Mahrez and the likes. Whether it is the Scandinavian or Asian league, once the player can deliver, just allow him to play and not all these agent like talks |

cromz:I don't know why you can't read the line very well before jumping in,some time is better to go back and read how discussion started than to just burst in,it has happened to me before,it's better so that you can have the clarity. Did you see anyone saying Uzoho is not ahead, what we are saying is this the good performance of Uzoho w definitely give hope to Alampasu. I don't want to talk on Spanish league division 3 and Portuguese division 3 cos both league are not better than NPFL, I want Uzoho as Deportivo number 1 nothing more the same thing Alampasu as Farense number 1 so that we can have healthy rivalry. |

forgiveness:I am familiar with Everton, as it stands if not for work permit issues i would say categorically Onyekuru would be in the first team, how consistent he would be considering the physicality and intensity of the EPL , I really can not say. People struggle to keep performing week in week out consistently if they don't have the mental resilience and or physical make up. That is why Musa can not cut it in the EPL he is a bit lightweight for a striker add to that the number of really fast players in the EPL. His one main attribute of speed is not giving him total competitive advantage. Onyekuru has speed but more guile, trickery and skill. |

komekn:That pogba issue ehn de 1 kind. He was tested by Ferguson a couple of times to know he was quality, even when we had all our midfielders injured he chose to play Rafael in the midfield much to the disgust of Pogba and the fans. Fergie and Pogba's agent aren't really the best of friends (Maino Raiola) it was his agent that advised Pogba against signing a contract extension. |

Lazyerudite:I would enjoin you to consider the top teams in the world and see the large pool of talent over the last 12 months that they have sifted through. England, Brazil, Germany , France have gone through over 50 players some got 1or 2 caps did not get a call up again. Rashford, Mbappe, Dembele, Tega, Solanke teenagers gate crashed the national team after outstanding current performances in their clubs and or at U20 Level. A coach decides which system to play from the quality talent he has at his disposal. When you have an Mbappe or a Neymar or a Messi you create a system that brings out the best in these players to give you the competitive advantage. Not the other way round. Whats your definition of insulting To make objective comparison between footballers is not denigration, but the quest for the best players for the SE. There is no sentiment about it, if Lukaku and Neymar were Nigerians we would bring them into the team, no argument, no sentiment, they are the best. I am unable to understand the context in which you bring Mahrez into your discourse, apologies please explain more. |

junnyjake:That is not the position. There was a certain Cleverly who's father was a coach at united and there was contention, you can fill in the rest can not say more than that. Adverse reports were given to Fergie and Pogba painted in a bad light , remember Pogba as outstanding as he was, was not getting commensurate game time. |
