Hi famz, I've got a couple of questions on Rom update

The updater app shows about 257Mb as size but when I clicked on download rom through the updater app, a file of about 1.57Gb was downloaded.

My questions

1. If I had clicked update would it have bn just 257Mb as shown?

2. If yes, what's the different between updating and downloading through thesame updater app?

3. If I mistakenly clicked download while on mobile data, how could I stop it?

4. under normal conditions, must I back up before updating or installing d downloaded update / will d update wipe the internal memory?

1. Would have very likely been the whole 1.57 gig, it happens sometimes like that. I have seen an update of over 1gig on the updater app and when I clicked it, turned out to be around 200mb.
2. No difference, just prefer download manually because if incase some bugs are present after updating, you can easily flush them out by manually updating again, in this case, you don't have to download the rom again since you already have it, this saves you your precious data.
3. To stop it, go to ' Tools' - Downloads - then pause or stop it.
4. You don't need to backup unless you are switching between Global to developer roms or vice versa, Global to Chinese roms or vice versa, or vendor/shop rom to official rom.
