Every player we invite must not be for the future, we have players for the here and now and we should utilise everyone in their peak instead of assuming that they are good now but they'd go bad by next two years so let's not call them.

Unlike forgiveness I won't hold bet my house on these guys making the team better or even getting invited, just that we have vacancies and it wouldn't kill anyone if they are tried again

Are they ( Martins, IK uche, Taiwo ) are their peak at this moment compare to their blistering performance at the past?

No, Bro.

Bring him to camp. He has no business retiring, if he has this much to offer to the team. He must be invited.

Yak refuse to join the team... Retired yesterday... Most prolific Nigeria striker in Epl with 95 goals one of the few players to score 4goals in a match and one the Teenagers to score hat trick in UCL and 21 goals for Nigeria making him the third highest goal scorer in Nigeria...

Yak won't make it to Russia 2018...

We saw the highlights... That was never a penalty. There was no indication that he did not play well otherwise.

You make some valid points.

One of the reasons, i believe we have not seen Ebuehi before is the form of Shehu and the nature of Gernot Rohr. Rohr does not just make changes, his changes are very gradual.

Aina was only introduced when Elderson got injured. He started against Algeria when Elderson was out. Now, Aina has been given a chance to make a case for himself on the left. Ebuehi has also been given a chance to make his case on the right. We will see more of them in friendlies.

Esiti was invited against Zambia and played for a few minutes. The coach has not invited him again. He appears to have made the decision that he is not the kind of player, he wants.

You have to be ready to gradually win your place in the team and show that you are better than what is available when you get the chance.

Agreed with you... Your last paragraph say it lot..

It's very difficult to prove match fixing. There's basically no way to prove money exchanged hands before a game is played when there's no witness.

Instead, strange betting patterns are like smoking guns in these sort of investigations.

How do you explain millions of £$ staked in Asia on the probability of a goal scored in the final few minutes of the game. The refree (a man under investigation for match fixing in the past), allowed an extra   3mins after the allocated 5 mins additional time  and in this extra - extra time, he awarded a shady penalty to Argentina.

This allegations actually leaves a sour taste in the mouth in what was otherwise a sweet victory. Its not a matter of Africans being hated because they beat Argentina.

You got it wrong about the Ejide incident. The Scotland game in question was prior to the 2014 world cup not the 2002 event.

Before the game, I reckon the match was under investigation by interpol for match fixing.

What did we see in the game? Well Ejide appeared to throw the ball into his own net. That incident actually embarrassed Nigeria. Official statement had to be made.

You can't blame anyone who apprehended the witch who cried in the night and the baby died in the morning.

I mean, questions should be asked.

Thanks for the correction,I can only recalled Ejide shaking start in most of our pre WC matches towards 2002 WC,just get the cleared pictures of 2014 match you are talking about but my man am still on my point nothing like match fixing.

An Interpol was investigating a match before the match was played and Ejide still has the confidence to throw ball into his own net,my man all this are just assumption not fact and mind you Nigeria players are the least offenders when it comes to match fixing. It was not even rampart in Nigeria.

On Argentina match i don't know what you are trying to say regards the match, are you saying we cannot beat Argentina 4-1 or Siasia lacks the tactics to beat Argentina that presumed the match was fixed.

Firstly you made two contradicting statements in our discussion, you said FIFA wanted to ban Nigeria and i asked for what, later you said the referee was involved cos he gave a questionable penalty to Argentina.

Pls something is not cleared about your allegations cos it was very grievous allegation which is not good for Nigeria football, who are the people involved,it seems Argentina were not involved from your comments, but it seems you are suspicious of Nigeria players even with the way you are beating your chest on it,you are well convinced it was match fixing.

Now the question is did Nigeria player intentionally handled the ball that gave Argentina penalty or did refree intentionally blew unjust penalty,it look so contradicting that Nigeria and the refree cannot be guilty at the same time cos Nigeria player did not handled the ball,so why FIFA ban.

Another question was all the goals aided by the referee cos i don't understand your point or the Argentines allowed us to score freely, honestly am more confused with your allegations.

Mind you three parties must be involved when it comes to match fixing in that match, the refree(s),Nigeria player(s) and Argentina player(s),but the Argentina that should be major suspect was not even mentioned in your allegation but you keep on hammering Nigeria a team that scored four cleared good goals and also conceded an unjust penalty.

So how come Nigeria was involved in your match fixing allegations, pls you need to explain in details.

Pls no need of going into another match, let's talk on Nigeria vs Argentina match.

EVERTON AND LIVERPOOL CHASE NIGERIAN DEFENDER SHEHU ABDULLAHI

Merseyside clubs Everton and Liverpool are interested in acquiring the services of Nigerian International defender Shehu Abdullahi 90MinutesGoal.com reports.

The 24-years-old right back who plays for Cypriot side Anorthosis Famagusta, is highly rated as one of the top ten right backs in the World currently.

"Yes we have offers from Spain, France, Italy and Merseyside clubs in England, a top source of Mitem Sports Sprl, the player representative told www.90MinutesGoal.com on Monday"

"We will study which offer is best for our client, since he will be a free agent after the World Cup the source concluded".

Shehu has been in splendid form for both club and country as he helped Nigeria qualify for her sixth World Cup and also helped his club reach the summit of the Cypriot league table after 12 matches played.

A fine defender known for his man marking ability, horse like over lapping run and an eye for goal, as envident when his goal against Ermis was voted the second best goal in the Cypriot first division league for the 2016/2017 season.

He will be a good addition to Liverpool or Everton, as both clubs cannot confidently lay claims of having a perfect understudy to Nathaniel Clyne and Seamus Coleman who are both first choice for Liverpool and Everton respectively.

Everton have used five different players (Cuco Martina, Mason Holgate, Kenny, Tom Davies and Dominic Calvert-Lewin) since the injury to first choice Seamus Coleman in March 2017.

And after 12 matches none of the five players has been able to hold on to a starting shirt for the next game.

As for Liverpool, Nathanial Clyne has been the club most reliable player during the past two seasons, but Liverpool don't really have a natural replacement for him.

While 18-year-old Trent Alexander-Arnold looks like a perfect replacement for Clyne due to his pace, energy and ball delivery, he still needs improvement quickly in his defensive abilities.

Joe Gomez who made his England debut against Germany, is another right back who will be better suited as a center back due to his physicality, while Jon Flanagan lacks pace, height and physicality to be a modern day right back.

Everton looks like the destination for Shehu Abdullahi judging from the fact that his representative Mitem Sports Sprl are also the representatives of Evertonian Henry Onyekuru.

A move away from Anorthosis Famagusta looks likely in January, but the management of the club are hoping to keep hold of their prized jewel even though he will be a free agent after the World Cup in Russia in 2018.

Everton over Liverpool? No. The Intensity Liverpool play and train with will certainly improve Shehu Abdullahi. He will also train in a high technical system which will make him an asset to technical play of our team. If he has a chance, he should join Liverpool and train on a very high level.

You can fix a game with one or two players. Against a good side, all they have to do is create unnecessary gaps and a gifted technical team will do the rest. Two or three poor passes in that situation is enough to destroy a team.

I am not saying the match was fixed but I read of the strange betting patterns during the game that spoilt the taste of the victory.

There are some games I suspect match fixing but I keep to myself. One recently, I looked to the keeper and shook my head. "Shebi your account has collected your cut."

we can still call him out of retirement..we need him and Martins to power the attack
come next year in Russia....

after the all....the likes of zidane came out of retirement to help France qualify and almost win the world cup....

so let us not give up on yak...we can still convince him....

Thanks thegoodjoe and happy birthday,am not disputing match fixing syndrome but you must have your fact before you make an allegation.

Why should we say Nigeria vs Argentina was fixed just cos Siasia handled the match, the evolution of this discussion started when Napoleon said Siasia was not the first Nigeria coach to beat Argentina, later it led to he beat team B and Rohr beat Argentina main team but goldfish80 need to come out that the match was fixed, very grievous allegation without fact.

So cos Siasia beat Argentina or has the record of being the first to beat Argentina we should rubbish his achievement just cos he is a local coach or what, that's my arguments.

I'm just saying in a dynamic frontline they can switch anytime.. again and again, especially when the wingers have a stronger feet.
The purpose is to stay unpredictable. Sometimes we can use a cross or two at either wings. The modern wingers cut in, but they are not limited to that. Back in the days, they were expected to make crosses.
