We all need something special on us and that thing is the grace of the ALMIGHTY GOD in heaven. I remember I once talked about grace of GOD on here and some people said some awkward things to me but I ignored them tho. I discovered that one thing missing is the grace of GOD. australia embassy will exceed 32-50 days in processing your visa which is likely not supposed to happen and not only that but the worst deny you visa only when you do not possess the grace of GOD. my brothers and my sisters, it is impossible for you to have the grace of GOD and australia embassy will exceed 32-50 days before granting you your visa, it is also impossible for you to have the grace of GOD and australia embassy will deny you visa. Tah!, for where that one wan happen when " the exceeding riches of the grace of GOD in His kindness towards us through CHRIST JESUS" is resting on us.it is impossible. The bible says "expectations of the righteous ones cannot be cut off/cut short". so i urge everyone of you to pray seriously for the grace of God on you and on your travel package so that you will receive good news of visa grant. I pray; my LORD JESUS it is written in the word of GOD that " for by grace are we saved through faith; and that not of ourselves: it is the gift of GOD" and so I pray on everyone of us planning to travel to australia that in JESUS name let the riches of the grace of GOD come upon us and speak for us, let everything concerning our dreams to travel to australia turn around for our good, let our visa be granted unto us before 50 days when we apply as it is the australia embassy's time and may we never be denied our visas again through CHRIST JESUS I pray.AMEN. please say amen with me and share your testimony.

Please dont miss this point as you have said she is applying to study nursing. Hope her education and experience is related to nursing. If not it is a big hurdle as it is a red flag that she is going direct for PR and not study.

Even if you apply to AL1 university the chances are high that they will request for SOA if you guys apply together.

15K is around 5m which is not sufficient for a bank statement to sponsor a student.

I totally agree with you Phil and I also think we should also be practical and not rely on faith alone. I personally feel we should start placing a call to them especially those of us that have deferred and have been waiting since May, June and July. Furthermore, 26th of this Month will make it 3 months to our start date in February and I don't think its out of place to call them. Some of us have invested over $12,500 into this and deserve some sort of explanation. If it was free, I wouldn't even bother calling till February

Verifying a couple of documents is not rocket science and shouldn't take 6 months neither is reading our statement of purpose to ascertain if we are genuine applicants that want to come and study. I think its high time we put some pressure on them so they can reach a decision because this has taken way more time than it should. Just imagine waiting till February and still getting a big refusal.....U fit run mad

Hello guys. I'm new here. I applied for a diploma course for one year which costs AUD6500 for that one year course. my question now is "if I been given admission with my Coe, would I be rejected at the embassy for applying for just a year course instead of two years? (Because I haven't really seen people on this thread applying for diploma, everyone just applying for two years course at the university)" Plus the fact that my SOA is very intact?

To answer your questions, Yes you can be rejected. Nobody is above rejection. It doesn't matter if you are applying for a 3 day course or If Albert Einstein wrote your SOA for you. Just make sure your first degree is related to what you want to study and pray hard that the person handling your visa application likes your face if not, you will be getting a resounding refusal... These people no get Joy

She now want to study nursing. Some schools might not even give her COE due to the different background and start telling you GTE.

If you have gotten COE and you intend to apply for visa, make sure your SOP explains how nursing is related to her education and experience.

It might just be better if you apply to a related master course.

All the best.

Two years course has an advantage of applying for two years post study work visa after graduating, that is why most opt for two years program, your strong SOA won't aid you from facing a strong scrutiny from DIBP because of your intending program, my advice for you is to apply for a two years graduate diploma course with a path way to Msc and back it up with strong statement of purpose, though you will be require to pay for Msc acceptance fee if given admission and you can decide not to further with the Msc program upon completing your graduate diploma. Go for graduate diploma with minimum of two years duration, my two cents.

Financial capacity requirements

 Documentary evidence of financial capacity

If you need to provide evidence of financial capacity, you will be able to demonstrate this by providing one of the following:

evidence of funds to cover travel to Australia and 12 months’ living, course and (for school aged dependants) schooling costs for the student and accompanying family membersevidence that you meet the annual income requirementan Acceptance Advice of Secondary Exchange Students (AASES) form (secondary exchange students only)a letter of support from the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade or Department of Defence.

Subsequent entrants – family members who apply after the primary applicant has been granted their visa must also provide documentary evidence of financial capacity. This must be one of the options above.

Twelve months' funds option

Evidence of funds can include money deposits, financial institution or government loans, scholarships or sponsorships. You can calculate the total amount of funds you will need by adding living costs, course fees, schooling costs and travel costs. Use the information below to calculate the total amount of funds you will need.

Living costs

From 1 July 2016, the 12 month living cost is:

student or guardian -  AUD 19,830partner or spouse - AUD 6,940child - AUD 2,970.

Course fees

Calculate the first 12 months of your course fees or include the total cost of your course if it is for a duration of 12 months or less. Deduct any prepaid costs and provide evidence of these payments (this should be on your Confirmation of Enrolment or provide receipts).

If you are in Australia and your course has already commenced, calculate the course fee payable for the 12 month period commencing from the date on which you lodge your application.

Example 1: if your course fee is AUD 50,000 for three years, determine the fee for one year (12 months) by dividing the total amount by the number of years. The amount will be AUD 16,666. Deduct any pre-paid amounts.

Example 2: if your course fee is AUD 15,000 for 10 months, and you have already paid AUD 5,000, deduct this prepaid amount from the total amount. The amount will be AUD 10,000.

Example 3: if your course fee is AUD 20,000 for 18 months, determine the fee for one year (12 months) by dividing the total amount by the number of months, then times by 12 (20,000 / 18 x 12). The amount will be $13,333. Deduct any pre-paid amounts.

Schooling costs

Where school aged children are included in your student visa application, schooling costs of at least AUD 8,000 per year for each child will need to be added to the amount of funds required. You are responsible for researching schooling costs, which vary between states, territories and schools in Australia.

You do not have to provide evidence of schooling costs if you are:

a PhD student and can show you have enrolled your child in an Australian government school where the fees have been waivedreceived an Australian Commonwealth Government scholarship, including Foreign Affairs and Defence sponsored students, and you can show you have enrolled your child in a government school where the fees have been waived.

Travel costs

If applying outside Australia, include AUD 2,000.

If applying in Australia, include AUD 1,000.

Annual income option

The annual income option requires a student to provide evidence of personal annual income of at least AUD 60,000. For students accompanied by family members, the requirement is at least AUD 70,000. The income demonstrated must be the personal income of your spouse (who is not coming with you) or parents. Where both of your parents are working, their combined income can be considered for this requirement. Evidence must be in the form of official government documents such as tax assessments. Evidence in the form of bank statements or information directly from an employer is not acceptable.

Genuine access to funds

You and your accompanying family members must be able to access the funds shown while you are in Australia.

When considering whether the funds will be genuinely available, we will take into account additional information and supporting evidence you provide, such as:

the nature of the relationship between you and the person who is providing the funds, where applicable your income, assets and employment or those of the person providing the funds evidence of financial support history source of funds for any lump sum deposits.

That will be better for you because after the one year course and you are unable to get a PR before your visa expires, na naija straight oh unless you enroll in another course and apply for a new visa, moreover make sure your course is on the MLTSSL.

From experience, this is not a good sign. They usually behave this way when they want to give you a refusal but just be hopeful and pray you see something different on Monday

grin don’t mind me I wasn’t thinking straight there..why can’t he put some money in your moms account and use her as ur sponsor to avoid long things?well u could also show marriage certificate that your mom is married to him and show your birth certificate and your mother’s birth certificate to show that ur mom is ur mom,but using biological parent looks better tho.

Won't it look suspicious, depositing a huge amount of money? Secondly, my father is late and my mum doesn't have 10m bank Statement. So Would you advice I use Step father (Cuz the man has a very happy account) or Uncle (Without the same surname).. Cuz I really can't afford mistakes of any kind.
