I haven't expressed in bottle 4 her b4, and I do give her food from my plate but after 2spoons she won't collect again.

She is fine if she is still breastfeeding. My 10 month old is,still on 50% breastmilk and he is doing okay. He prefers breast to any other thing you give him. To encourage him to take his cereals I mix it with breastmilk. He also refuses to be fed other foods by me but when am out he will collect from other people in the house. So it's a gradual thing ,give the 2 or 3 spoons she is ready to take then top her up with breastmilk. Also let someone else feed her while you step out of the house for a walk. She may eat more from someone else

He's not eating becus he has a swollen gum (teething) which will be painful don't force feed him the little he takes is fine it will get better

My 8 month old son has refused to eat, normally he takes BM from the bottle and cereal from the bottle (not thick) buh since yesterday he has absolutely refused to eat anything. .He had cereal by 2pm yesterday and refused to eat anything till morning, I practically forced him to take BM from the bottle and since then, there's nothing else he will take. .

He is teething though, the first lower tooth just showed up and d second is abt coming up... gum is all swollen and he is so oo clingy n cranky. ..

Any ideas y he is not eating?

I'm just so worried. .. He seems to have lost weight since the teething thing started

my lo is 7months but still on breast milk and water only...she wouldn't take anything aside this...
I prepared tombrown and start feeding her after 2spoons she won't accept again she will keep screeming and crying and messing up the whole place...I even used bottle but still same issue...Am the one now consuming it.
I have tried cerelac, ogibaba, mash this mash that, some of the purees av learnt here, she still wouldn't accept after a spoon or 2...
if we are eating she will be doing long throat but try giving her, she will squeeze face and spat it out..
I don't know if she's still getting all the nutrients from breastmilk... thanks

Myrygurl, Moyo was like this too. He exclusively breastfed for almost 10m which wasn't good as he was really losing weight and always hungry 2hich made both of us really cranky.

What saved me was eggs. He loved eggs boiled or fried and he loved chicken too and fish. And pap without milk or sugar. He also loved fruits so we just made do with these. Later we progressed to Amala with ewedu suffocating with fish, from just a few swallows to finishing a small wrap. And boiled yam buried in fried eggs. The trick was mounting what he liked on top of what he didn't care for but need in order to add weight.
You just keep trying a variety of food till you find the one.



Let me give you hope, the Moyo that everyone said was just too tiny and a picky eater is now bigger than kids is age, in fact he measures with kids 1-2 years older than him. He's always hungry these days (and I don't use the glutton drug on him o, and just once for Muna) that even me, I'm tired of his eating anyhow and outgrowing all his clothes too quickly
