I've tried so hard to be patient with this man and the situation but this man has treated me with so much disregard.

I bought a compressor from him worth N25,000. I was in Ibadan at the time so I pleaded he took care of the transport to which he agreed. He sent the compressor that day and didn't pay logistics as agreed. I overlooked it when he and his boy were being funny about it. Mind you, this man didn't give me a receipt for a part worth N25k.

I left for Uyo a few days later and had it installed on the car. The magnetic clutch didn't work. I called him and he offered to replace it. I sent the compressor back to Lagos and he sent another one (most likely the same part he tried to work on). Still this replacement unit didn't work.

At this point, my brother became fed up and said he wants a refund. I told this to luvinhubby and he agreed. I sent the part back to Lagos. It's about a week and he claims he hasn't picked it up from the courier office because he's busy and he has stopped responding to my calls.

I've called this man over 50 times and he bluntly refuses to answer nor call back. Reads and ignores my messages on whatsapp. I've pleaded with him to refund the money as it isn't mine yet he ignores the messages.

From today I cease to hold this man in high regard as he just might be another fraudulent businessman. I hope there are people here who can get him to come to his senses and refund the money to me.

Never rely on the praises you see here. People can be very terrible.

I do my business the old fashioned way: "see-me-see-you." There are very few people here on nairaland who still consider integrity a virtue worth having.

I went to Oyingbo market Yaba to see this luvinhubby after I had called him a day before. I called and called his number he didnt pick. I even went to the address he attached to his moniker- they did not know of any Mr. Lawrence. Well since that last month, I have some doubt about the person luvinhubby!!

The second one was tested by me and was working well before i sent it.
You returned it over the weekend, the AKTC people called on Friday evening, 24th and i told you i must pick up my item before any refund, that is my business pattern.

If the same energy you put here was channelled into going to pick up that part and refunding my money or even answering calls & giving an explanation, this topic wouldn't have been here.

Mind you, I took the replacement unit to 3 other technicians who confirmed it was bad before I returned it.

I'll strongly advise people to just read threads here for the sake of knowledge. Ask questions when you need to and learn a thing or two. I personally will never have any dealings with people here again.

Online transactions gone bad has a way of changing ones perception forever even when remedy is given.
Luvinhubby an item dat was sent since Wednesday should hav gotten to u by now. I stil don't get wat u mean by u don't refund money on item uv not seen.
Question is, have u not received item?

Once bought something worth 18k from someone on Nairaland, when it was received, it wasn't working, I didn't bother sending it back though he requested so.

To me, sending it back is a pure waste of time and the bad blood generated is not worth it at all. Besides, the money wey person go use for courier na another thing.

Op, make you dey buy this kind parts for your area of residence. The money wet you think say you don save, way am now.

This item was sent through a driver so I could pay less. It got to Lagos Wednesday evening.


Luvinhubby in his usual fashion didn't take the driver's calls until later. The driver said Rowland kept saying he was going to take it yet didn't show up so he kept it with the courier guy @ the bus station.

Rowland says he has still not gone to pick it up claiming he's busy.

If this was to be fitted in my car, I'd have overlooked it. This isn't my car and I explained it to him.

In this area, I combed the mechanic village and I couldn't find it.

This man never paid waybill and that's no problem. I didn't think it was a good idea for him to as I never sent him more money.

I spent a little under 10k for the times this part was installed and uninstalled from the car and 7K in total on waybill.

Huge loss for me but my annoyance is how he's so non chalant about this deal. He's really a terrible person in my opinion.

Negligence is a term that means carelessness or a breach of an obligation. Negligence is used in general language to mean someone was unreasonably lax in fulfilling some obligation. If someone is negligent in the eyes of the law, he or she could face a civil lawsuit or even criminal charges.

I am not here to defend anybody.

Luvinghubby, please pick up the item and make a refund as soon as possible.

I have had several dealings with Luvinghubby and I had never had any reason to see him as a fraud. I can go to his shop anytime and buy my parts right from when I was using Honda bulldog till now.

I think this is a transaction that should be remedied for integrity and relationship sake.

I have been on here from forever so, I know what I am saying. Cheers

micklplus Thank you. I was sure to avoid using the word "fraud" in this complaint. My problem is the manner in which it's being handled.

This really is terrible as it's my first transaction with him & I for sure will never take anything from his shop again.

When items are given to drivers against the normal practice of waybill, their details are sent to the receiver for tracking, never got one from you. The person that called did that very late in the night on Friday when i was already home, my weekends are always very busy and i told i will pick it up when am chanced.

Am sorry, will not do any refund till i get my part, no businessman does that and as soon as am chanced, i will do that.

I know close Pals dat order honda parts from u and they can attest to ur credibility. u r bigger than 25k for sure.
Plz make out time tomorrow to personally go and retrieve the item and possibly remit the guy his money back abeg.
Some things are not worth headache. The Op wouldn't hav called u out here if the understanding was Mutual.

Luvinghubby shld collect the compressor and return back his money. It shld be done as a matter of urgency to still retain d confidence Kuffie has on him. The poor communication from Luvinghubby was not there initially as he was bargaining with Kuffie. Now that the transaction involves returning d compressor and refund of money, luvinghubby is trying to avoid his chats. It doesn't tell good of luvinghubby at all. And that's what Kuffie is complaining about.
