komekn:Yes your observations are spot on. He normally combines well with Iwobi. I don't know why he played selfish. Iwobi would have given him that ball back. For that his free kick though, GOD bless his left foot. It's been so long we scored such sweet free kick. The Argies gk suffered but all in vain. |

nelszx:Hope, faith, grit, guts, desire, passion, unity, determination and hardwork are things that will make this team solid. We have our part to play. As for me my faith and belief is elephantine. I've been disappointed many times by the Super Eagles before. Let me take the risk again. That's what makes it sweet. I will not let my experience of past failures and disappointing performances by the SE dampen my belief in this team. Wild faith bro 200% |

Nigeria to host FIFA Executive Summit World football –ruling body, FIFA will hold its FIFA Executive Football Summit (EFS) meeting in Lagos, Nigeria in February next year, the Nigeria Football Federation has confirmed. “Nigeria has been selected as a Member Association to host one of the 12 FIFA Executive Football Summit meetings happening between November 2017 and March 2018, as part of FIFA President Gianni Infantino’s vision of ‘bringing FIFA back to football and football back to FIFA’,” NFF President Amaju Pinnick said on Monday. Already, the NFF has selected Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island as venue and hotel accommodation for the big event, slated for 20th February 2018. Pinnick added: “This is a very important event on the FIFA calendar. That Nigeria is deemed good enough to be among the 12 countries to host the FIFA Executive Football Summit meetings is no mean feat. It is another marker of our global acceptability, visibility and reckoning. “The NFF opted for Eko Hotels and Suites because FIFA officials are familiar with that facility and its services. It hosted FIFA teams during the 1999 FIFA World Youth Championship and the 2009 FIFA U17 World Cup. Also important is the fact that the hotel has a new facility named The Signature, and which is of 5-Star quality and rating. “The entire project, including the expenses of all the participants, such as their accommodation, feeding and transportation and all other logistics having to do with the programme, will be bankrolled by FIFA. ” A FIFA official was in Lagos during the week to check out on accommodation and other facilities listed for the event. https://sportsration.com/2017/11/28/%e2%80%8bnigeria-to-host-fifa-executive-summit/ |

[quote author=terzurum5 post=62800999]Remember most Clubs did not release the players Siasia wanted to use to prosecute the Olympic games. [/quotpe] Very true. I also remember that Awoniyi and Osimhem were dropped. And my point is taking an unfit player to a tournament is a waste of tax payers money. The coach could definitely have found at least 1 fit player from the local league who could have been taken. |

Martins people - forgiveness and komekn - food don done. Remember Rohr is corrupt ooo CHINA FA CUP WINNER, OBAFEMI MARTINS ON ROHR’S WORLD CUP RADER BY BOLAJI OKUNOLA. Former Super Eagles attacker and scout to coach Gernot Rohr, Victor Agali has hinted 33 year-old Obafemi Martins is still relevant to the national team. Martins who on Sunday fired his club, Shanghai Shenhua, to win the Chinese F.A Cup trophy, last featured for Nigeria under Coach Sunday Oliseh during the first phase of the Russia 2018 World Cup qualifiers against Swaziland. Agali told Sports Village Square on telephone that both those who prosecuted the winning of World Cup qualification and other players outside the squad have equal chances of making the World Cup provisional list when it is compiled. “All players who are currently performing to expectation in their respective club sides have equal chance. The coach {Rohr] is a disciplinarian who welcomes players based on merit. Don’t be surprised to see the likes of in-form Obafemi Martins, Joel Obi and others returning to the team, and I myself won’t hesitate to scout for more legs that will help maintain the good form.” Agali remarked. My top 5 goals of the qualifying campaign. 5. Ighalo 1-0 Cameroon Mikel obi's pass to find him was both visionary and exquisite but the goal was all odion's doing. Hardwork and grit to displace the Cameroonian defender before perfectly placing the ball in the bottom corner. 4. Iheanacho 2-0 Zambia This was all kelechi's speed and movement. Again Mikel was at the heart of everything with his incisive passes and orchestrated play before ideye's lovely lay of for KC who calmly finished efficiently. 3. Victor Moses 3-0 Cameroon Counter attacking football at its devastating best. Moses with an unstoppable run to leave the Cameroonians flat footed laying the ball to Simon who gave him back to finish with aplomb. 2. Ogu 1-0 Algeria Wasn't the best of matches due to the horrendous pitch but ogu's 25 yard golazo sure lit things up. Beautiful goal to cap off a find performance by the big man. 1. Iwobi 1-0 Zambia in uyo Which other goal was going to be number one if not the goal that sealed our world cup place. The sequence of passes, the brilliant movements the emphatic finish the goal celebrations truly breathtaking |

Mujtahida:There is what I believe and thats practice, Iheanacho tried dribbling an argentine defender twice but failed also Iwobi tried dribbing an argentine defenders prior to his goal twice and failed also but latter on he got things right. Iheanacho decision in not squaring the ball to me was intentional, he purposely didnt want to pass the ball then cos on a normal good day he always pass, i guess he has been practicing on his dribbling abilities but unluckily he failed that doesnt mean he should stop dribbling. If you notice that during the algeria games he was the one taking the freekicks and all was not converted, but he tried it on the argentines and succeded, i believe with practice he will be able to take on defenders. I believe we shld encourage him and not discourage him in his development. |

Omo, do you mean to tell me that Kelechi Iheanacho is not good enough to start for Leicester City? A player who was competing with the likes of Aguero and Gabriel Jesus for playing time less than 1 year ago is suddenly too poor to even make Leicester's bench? Oya, your turn 'answer that question'.
