Maybe I'm bias, myself being a pharmacist, but pharmacy is probably the most difficult course to make a First Class.

the last time I checked pharmacy and medicine are declassified degrees. so where is the 1st class coming from? am also a student of pharmacy.

My elder brother is an atheist, he does not believe in any supreme being whatsoever but he graduated with first class in mechanical engineering.

In OP's mind...atheist can never make first class....SMH.

I believe in hardwork and diligence.
If you like do 21 day fasting and prayer.
If you dont study well, you wont get first class.

Go to least religious countries and you'll see many atheists that are bagging first class.

declassified, yes. but students with cgpa of 4.5 and above or it's equivalent are classified as distinction. So the term First Class in my earlier post actually meant distinction.
Every other cgpa is declassified.

..As a pharmacist,u can work in the hospital/community pharmacy as clinical pharmacist..the area of industrial pharmacy is also there where u work as regulatory pharmacist..sales and marketing is also there..nt forgeting research and academics

Young man if eventually, you graduate with a first class degree,my dear its just by the grace of God and nothing more.All these criteria the op mentioned to make first class are not compulsorily practised by all first class achievers.i could have graduated with a first class too but something happened to me that could not be averted even though I read 24hrs every day.I had the brain and was very dedicated only to my studies.its a long story though....

Having said that, i can't seem to make a goal and stick to it. Call it indiscipline or anything. I will definitely work on it.

well, sometimes i find it hard also to digest academic works. But my believe is that nothing comes easy. For you to overcome this boredom, you need to enjoy every process. Focus more on the knowledge you intend to gain.

Every thing seen in the physical is as a result of it manifestation in the sprirtual.
There is nothing EVER possible without God, including the life you are living, the food you are eating and even the clothes you are wearing(every idea to create something comes from the creator(GOD),clothes,food, and your life was been created)

for you to succeed in your academic pursuit and acheive first class, you need assistant in your thinking(first class people think deeply) The only person that broadens your thinking is the HOLY SPIRIT, he also enhances your UNDERSTANDING. reading without adequate understand is a big waste. He challenged OP's assertion by explaining clearly why god isn't necessary and you guys haven't countered his own point

if someone says "Being 6ft tall or over is necessary to be one of the best soccer players in the world" and I want to challenge this assertion, all I need do is site examples of players shorter than that but are still one of the best in the world

Same way if someone says "a God is necessary for first class" anyone can challenge the assertion by citing examples of f nontheists making first class!

Sir are you a lecturer at the university of Benin. I asking because I am currently reading pharmacy in Uniben and we have a lecturer in pharmchem called pharm Uyi.

Tesla was brilliant, but he didn't have business intelligence. Study his life history.


In body has said that God is necessary for a person to excel in life. but Grace /Providence which comes from God is. And this isn't a factor of whether you believe Him or not. It has a lot to do with things beyond your control like
1. Which Nationality you are (America or Burundi)
2. Who your parents are (Responsible or Irresponsible)
3. Your circle of Friends
4. Your environment etc

Pls don't look at those people and envy them. Most of the chinese billionaires and rich people all have a spiritual force backing them up. Making them to succeed at all cost. You can't get to your maximum level without a supernatural force backing you up.
