No way Atiku can win Buhari in the North. He can only win him in the South East. That's it. Atiku isn't guaranteed South South sef. |

igbodefender:If Buhari should win 2019 election Igbo should forget about president, a you a man will contest and Win because we have yoruba as VP and an average hausa man will prefer yoruba. But if Igbo should pick VP come 2019 that will be a good start for them. |

OFFICIAL336:Bindow was a senator under the APC before he became governor. Atiku's exit from apc now gives Bindow full control of the party in the state. Here in Adamawa, Atiku is now a laughing stock. |

Yet another conversation dominated by the same old "zoning" nonsense, and totally ignoring what sorts of qualities are needed in a president other than being from a particular tribe! What good will it do Igbos to have "their son" in Aso Rock if he performs as poorly as the current occupant? Has Buhari made the lives of the NW's poor millions so much better by coming from there? Was GEJ able to provide even basic drinking water to his own people in the ND? So what exactly are you expecting an "Igbo president" to do, other than allow a few people to distract themselves from their daily suffering and growling empty stomachs by being able to say "Our son is the president"? Do you think a clownish thug like Fayose with his "stomach infrastructure", or a megalomaniacal buffoon like Okorocha and his obsession with pointless statues, will make life better for most of his tribe by getting into Aso Rock? The fundamental problem with Nigeria is the stupidity and ignorance of most Nigerians, who refuse to learn from either history or their own bitter personal experiences. It's funny how even as some elements in the north are starting to open their eyes to the fact that Buhari has done nothing for them, so many of the supposedly more intelligent southerners here on Nairaland are eager to repeat the northerners' mistake. |

Believe me, by the special grace of God 2023 is for Igbo man enough is enough. Am only appealing to SE to support PMB in 2019 to enable the Igbo man rules as president not as vice president in 2023. |

OFFICIAL336:This is a perfect illustration of how misinformed and ignorant you people are The Southwest have APC 500,000 votes? They just camp you guys in that godforsaken region and feed you lies And being a herd of no brain swine that you are, you believe everything you hear You wrote all these nonsense and it shows how you guys think The Southwest that "hate" GEJ gave him a whooping 1.8m votes while you iboes that love him so much gave him just 2.4m votes And just to educate your ignorant head, the Southwest gave APC close to 2.5m votes in 2015 |

rajiraymond:And what exactly are you expecting this "Igbo man" to then do that no Hausa, Yoruba or Ijaw man has done for his people? Would you be happy for Okorocha or TA Orji to be that Igbo man, since apparently that's the only qualification you care about? The shallowness of most of the "reasoning" on this forum is depressing! |

Anybody that understands politics won't say buhari should not return come 2019 because if atiku should come'he is from d north,he atiku will do his own 8years,buhari 4yrs atiku 8yrs making it straight 12yrs dat d north will hold dis country to Ransome, but if buhari should continue till 2023 d north will have no claim on d presidency after dat,its not like atiku is a known messiah. |

Those are not the reason: The major reason is that PDP is already shooting themselves in the foot with the candidacy of Atiku. Atiku cannot defeat Buhari in the North; the last time he contested, he didnt even win his LGA which was snatched by opposition. What was his position in the APC primaries? chinjo:How does this relegation thing work biko? Lol...you expect to be seeing Tinubu on national TV during FEC meetings or for him to be nominated for ministerial appointment? Do you know the construction companies handling major construction works in the country? Even the concessed Air Port road is being handled by his construction firm. Do you know the reason why big shots sponsor politicians? It is to protect the interest of their companies and get contracts and tax-cuts, not to be nominated or minister or invited for presidential dinner. |

APC must be voted out...[/qulov Lol, may we see your own analysis that shows APC will possibly be voted out or you think is just by saying? Even in the East where Buhari is not generally love by the people, Buhari will garner more votes than Atiku once the battle for presidency is set between these 2 |

See beer parlour analysis ooh..... All I can see are very non tangible reasons given. 1. Forget Bindow. The entire Adamawa state machinery has been reported to have been hijacked by Atiku... 2. Tinubu does not need to decamp to the PDP to work for them, are you a learner? In the 2011 general elections, Nuhu Ribadu was the AC candidate but we all know who Tinubu was really in support of. 3. Who Vice President epp? Besides Osibanjo has risen to unprecedented heights because Tinubu was benevolent enough. If baba says, do one term , Osibanjo will not hesitate to drop his ambition at once. 4. There is much bigger fish to fry than this tribal pettiness you wrote up there. Tinubu is a devil but he is a necessary devil. Tinubu makes sure that you can identify him with progressives who you have no option but to applaud any day any time. Fashola, Osibanjo , Ambode come to mind. However, Buhari has come short of that measure. Selling Buhari to anyone now is one hell of a task. |
