This is a historically documented fact, so which one is fake again huh Are you also blind to the fact that this information was culled from a book written by a westerner?

There were two MAJOR resistance from the Igbos against the British colonials.

1) The one led by the Aro-confederacy and lasted for about 20 years. This confederacy included the surrounding ibibios

2) Ekwumekwu resistance led by the Anioma Igbos for almost 30 years.

There is a reason why the British hated Igbos during their rule in Nigeria. Igbos made it difficult for them. This also made them worried that an Igbo leadership in Nigeria would make it very difficult for them to control and exploit Nigeria in the future. That's why the so called Christian British embraced the Muslim north and helped them to manipulate the census> this was confessed by Harold smith.
The fall of Arochukwu to to the British in 1902 marked the begining of the fall of Igbo land to the whiteman. But I admire our people, the stand up to a much bigger oponent and fight, no matter what.

They fought the British with nothing.

Tney fought Nigeria with nothing

Even IPOB fights with nothing but determination.

Thats the spirit of a great people who refuse to cowed down

Yes. We will get there. But first, our unity is paramount, expecially with our brothers accross the politically gerimandered divide.
We are already united for a common cause

Common cause led by who?
It doesnt have to led by anyone as long as the majority believe in the cause.

Stop overflogging your importance.. You lots are parasites that won't just keep quiet.

The bitter truth is that Britain are not comfortable with Igbos in terms of handing over power to them in 1960 because Igbos will reject their neocolonialism the same they rejected indirect rule and gave the British the longest war of resistance in Nigeria.

The HMS Flirt was used in the bombardment of the western Igbo town of Asaba in retaliation to its involvement in the Ekumeku movement against the encroachment of the British chartered Royal Niger Company in 1898. The Royal Niger Company was later joined with the Niger Coast Protectorate and they became the Northern and Southern Nigeria Protectorates in 1900.
