Chairman of the Presidential advisory committee Against Corruption, Professor Itse Sagay has revealed why President Muhammadu Buhari would not meet with ex-pensions reform boss, Abdulrasheed Maina.

Sagay said that Maina's request was 'Ridiculous'. He told Vanguard that Maina's request was insulting to the country and advised him to submit himself to security agencies.

"The whole matter does not justify such ridiculous request.His request to meet with the President is out of the question. If every suspect has a whistle to blow and is therefore taken to the President, I don’t think the President will have any other job to do.

Apart from the protocol and status, it is even insulting to the country. He can talk to the EFCC, ICPC and Police and if he wants a higher authority, he can meet with the Inspector-General of Police. So, he does not need to get to that level at all because nobody is going to allow that.

The police are going to protect him; he should go to the police or the EFCC. They are the best protectors, they have armed officers, and they can keep him in a safe room or safe house.I don’t think that is going to be a problem."

If he has any info he feels will be useful in prosecuting the pension scandal, let him write it down, approach any of the courts to get a sworn affidavit and then mail such info to the appropriate authorities, after which he surrenders himself for trial.

He will still get the 5% whistleblowing fee for his services and will enjoy such while he is cooling off at kirikiri.

Now it's obvious this so called prof is a grossly educated illiterate. The issue here is not Maina wanting to see the president but the continual annoying silience of the President to all the damaging allegations Maina have been making against him & his useless government.

he never said he met with the President... he said he met with the Attorney to the FG which is the Minister of Justice and Attorney General based on the President directives.

Prof Odekunle who is member of the same Presidential Advisory Commitee on Corruption said it in a Channel Interview on Tuesday that Maina issue is a big embarrassment to the anti corruption stand of PMB's administration. He also said the issue had diminished the fight on Corruption.
With a person like Sagay being the Chairman of that Commitee, Buhari obviously need another sincere adviser. ...Prof Sagay is fast loosing his reputation. Why is it afraid to speak the truth publicly?Is he also having any baggages? The prof should please smell the cofeee and know that not all Nigerians are Zombies

For goodness sake what is so wrong if Mr maina want to give the details to Mr President.i seam not to understand this advicers nowadays,so Mr President is so big to receive complain from a citizen. To talk less this is not even complain is a matter that need urgency and highly sensitive and per say the president uppermost agenda is to curb corruption and using the medium of wistle blowing,it should have come to the mind of the adviser that such of this will surface it self.
Mr mains blof to have most highly corrupt information of thy country and if he request the audience of Mr President presuming people around the president are somehow which he could not share the info to,be it then.

Mr "wisdom", please advise Maina to send all his evidences to the relevant authorities (EFCC, ICPC, Police etc) & be available to defend them. If he is afraid that his evidence will be tampared with, let him document all as affidavit under the supervision of a competent lawyer & send same to the President for consumption.

The office of the President is too busy for every dick, Tom & harry who feels he has "evidence" to toy with.
