Firstly KC got a work permit for the EPL by means of the special player clause. Very few of our players if any have qualified with that clause. The fact is KC showed huge potentials. That’s not a hype. Secondly, he continued from ther under Pelligrini in the EPL. No hype. hardwerk: |

I wonder how some peeps here worries more than nacho who is seating on the bench...believe u me,i think he himself should be worried of himself because od he eventually looses form and playing time,i believe the position is wide open ... So whether he plays or not, it is in no way going to affect the super eagles.. |

Humility017:how many goals has Kayode scored this season? Compare that to Martins |

Icon4s:In a 3-man CB, the RCB and LCB should be players who are fast not slow. Balogun should have played in the middle of them. Do u mean we shouldn't work on our left-side? And we still want our team to reach the Quarter-final of the WC. |

TheGoodJoe:i must commend the good work of Guadiola, "he knows is Onions right " and he's getting the results . it will be a difficult thing to predict that they re not going to win the EPL this season . At the beginning of the league , i actually thought that they re 5 matches wonder as usual , they have surpassed my expectations. |

krattoss:Some are crying over Nacho's playing time, If Nacho were to be in Girona and puts-up the same performance that Kayode does and still be left on the bench, I wonder what this thread will look like. It is more justifiable to cry over Kayode's playing time than Nacho's because the few times Kayode has played he never failed to impress. |

EEGA:I disagree. The main CB in a 3-man backline is the one that needs the pace the most, when you adopt an attack-minded 3-4-3 formation that means a high-line and guess who is more concerned with that high-line? The middle CB. If you play a conservative 3-man backline the middle CB is still the one that will be playing the ball out of the back or carrying the ball forward which means he needs his pace. Who is the middle CB for Chelsea? Compare the person's speed with Azpi and you will understand. When Barcelona plays a 3man backline who plays the RCB? Masch and he is not fast, as in not at all. Our backline was okay, I'd only replace Awaziem with Omeruo and that would be all. Ps: I dont think Idowu is the best we have though |

EEGA:We are obviously working on our left side. But you also have to appreciate the extent of work done thus far. As I said, in the national team, if you don't have players of certain qualities you make do with what you have. That is why national team coaches cherish utility players. We maximise the best we have in the best position. As I said before give us a left footed CB that is better than Balogun and we will send him to the bench. |

Mickael2:Nice, but I was shocked when I saw " replace Awaziem with Omeruo". Do u know about two of our goals came from Awaziem? That guy for me, is the best among the 3 CB's that played that day.His poor performance against SA didn't even affect his play, he was comfortable and confident with the ball. |

Mickael2:kayode in China will score more calls...than martins has scored... compare the calibre of players in the Chinese league wit those in the la liga.... kayode is miles ahead...of Martins. even Paul has scored more goals...but still can't match kayode in skills and potentials.... |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by gamaliel9: 9:11am On Nov 30, 2017 |
safarigirl: Martins getting better for a club does not mean he will be better for us. Stop equating club performances to National teams first of all. Only then can you understand football. Aguero that scores on a daily for City, what does his performance for Argentina look like? How many goals does Mikel have in China? And in that period, how many did he get for Nigeria? Musa that has barely kicked a ball for Leicester, did he not get an assist in minutes? The sooner you realise that club football and performances are not a reflection of national team, the sooner we can have a proper conversation. Martins has never been prolific for Nigeria. What does Obafemi brings to the team? Experience.....Also,he is a match winner... he can bring something out of nothing...He has saved us on many occasions, the last being 2010 WC qualifiers.. He deserves to be at least invited.. all these greenhorns Osimhen, Nwakali Chidi, etc should continue to gather experience at club levels and international friendlies till 2022 qualifiers |

EEGA:thanks my brother... the sentiments of people on this thread eehhh...is alarming. sometimes they try promote tired legs on the premise of experience..... left to me.....Martins and even omeruo if he does not improve will not make the world cup roster..... |

gamaliel9:then I see no reason why we should not canvass for yakubu and osaze as well...they have saved us in critical times...in time past. |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Humility017(m): 9:30am On Nov 30, 2017 |
EEGA:for any sane list....kayode and nacho should make the world cup roster..... both are bunch of potentials.....I have said it severally...nacho and musa lack of game time don't worry me...provided they're allowed to play in EPL 2.... under 23 team. so as to keep fit. everyone knows what they can offer when they play for the super eagles..... |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Mujtahida: 10:11am On Nov 30, 2017 |
EEGA:It's like even the fourth goal came from him(as in long balls) because he moved to play the free kick after Mikel was fouled. The replay of the foul on Mikel did not let us see how the ball got to Musa but I guess that Awaziem must have played that free kick. |

gamaliel9:experience is overrated Yobo and his hundred game experience helped us concede an own goal to France Yakubu and his own experience managed to miss open net. Let us not even discuss the highly experienced Akpeyi and his gaffe We have enough experienced players an we are even looking to drop experience in the form of Echiejile, so please, you need to argue with something else. Let Martins get the invite, but if he fails to perform, I go laugh una tire. Y'all better pray he pulls an Idowu Anyway, March is a long time away, Martins may not even be available by then ![]() |
