Unfortunately, Vincent would not be recalled. Leave the coach to do his job. He knew what he wants. Qualifying from the group of death is not easy.

He is doing very well.

You are also not obeying what you are preaching or are you the Coach, to state emphatically that "Vincent will not be recalled"? undecided undecided

@Slam7000,the antecedent histories of the World Cup since 1934,individual and combined, don't segregate between youth and age. Before '58 World Cup,Brazil-racist in her approach toward team selection- were in the shadows of Uruguay and other powers.
But at the '58 finals,a certain 17 yr old chap,Edison Arantes do Nacimento, alias, Pele, took the world by storm, and brought the World Cup to Brazil. He would later help win another in '62 and '70. He's regarded as the greatest footballer of the last century. So,age isn't and shouldn't bar talent. If he's good enough, then he is good for the mundial.

The young man isn’t ripe for the Eagles.

At 18, and not even the first choice keeper for his bundesliga 2 side. I think he is not ready for the big stage. If he is passionate about playing for Nigeria, he should come to the Flying Eagles camp and prove himself.

We should be careful of relegating our local league and giving so much privileges to European players of Nigerian descent. Playing for some unknown team in Europe shouldn’t automatically qualify one to be invited to the Eagles camp.
it takes great minds and visionary people to discover raw talents... sit back and enjoy the ride.. so far the coach have been on point.

Well, you are right so, let us FLIP this your arguement:

1.) Is it not possible that if not for the contribution of Enyeama in the goal post (with his goal-saving skills), maybe we wont even qualify for those World Cup.

2.) Maybe if we take Enyeama along this time, maybe we would get past where we would have ended, maybe his skills will take us even to the final, this time around?

A lot of "Ifs".

But the bottom line is "every country takes their BEST to the World Cup Competition".
Unless yo are saying this guy or any of our current Keepers are BETTER than Enyeama?

I am sure you wont dare to say that. undecided undecided

Stop hating on your Best players, it is what kills a team

He won't. The higher authority would not allow that unless we plan to fail in Russia.

We don't want a repeat of what happened in France'98.

Brian Idowu wasn't tried before, but the man performed absolutely well.

I have no problem with Enyeama as a Goal-keeper. I actually want him at the WC because with this crop of goal keepers , Nigeria will not go far.

My problem is with his attitude. Sometimes, it is better to roll with a lesser talent but with a better attitude.

YOu could be right on that.
My Calabar brothers always have an 'attitude' but the job of a Coach is to MANAGE YOUR BEST PLAYERS and their ATTITUDE, so as to get the best out of them. grin grin
That is what we are paying a Coach for, that is what the best Coaches in the world do.

Zlatan Ibrahimovich is a man of attitude but Muarinho is still managing him!
Many a Player with attitude, were managed by Sir Alex ferguson, in his days at Man-U and they won everything in site
Right now, Mr. Wenger is managing a lot of attitude in his Arsenal team, just to get the results he needed
Diego Costa was "Big Attitude" in Chelsea last season but they still won the Premier League with him, under a Coach that can manage attitude!

So, the BEST PLAYERS ALWAYS have an Attitude, from Ronaldo, to Messi, to Neymar, Kun Aguero, just name it, it i spart of the game!
We did not employ a Coach to teach "professionals" how to trap ball or pull a corner kick! We employ them to MANAGE PLAYERS and that is why they are called "Football Managers" in some clubs.

So, why cant we "manage" the attitude of Enyeama, if we are to benefit from his skills, in the interest of success at Russia 2018?

I am not against trying out new players, infact, that is always a good thing.

But "TYRING OUT" is not done at the World Cup proper!

Give all the Nigerian keeprs that are Good, the same opportunity to FIGHT FOR THE SHIRT, including Enyeama.

That is all l am saying.

If a team/Coach shut-outs its best Keeper, while 'trying out' a new novice, a few weeks to the World Cup,
you are certainly on a long thing

Brian Idowu plays first team football for a top division club in Russia. He has several years as a professional under his belt.

This kid has no first team experience.

International football is totally different from club football. In club football, you spend a lot of time with the players whereas international football is a different ball game. The French team that won France'98 World Cup dropped some notable players. Brazil did it and so on.

2018 World Cup: Gernot Rohr confirms addition of German born goalkeeper to Super Eagles

Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr, has confirmed that 18-year-old German-born Fortuna Dusseldorf ‎goalkeeper, Maduka Okoye will be available to him ahead of the World Cup.

The Super Eagles are still searching for goalkeeper after the first choice, Karl Ikeme was hospitalised with Leukaemia.

.

The Franco-German coach who is in Russia for tomorrow’s World Cup draw told Own Goal that he will add Okoye to his pool of players next year when they play their friendly games.

He said, “There’s another goalkeeper we have in our sight now. He plays with Fortuna Dusseldorf in Germany, Maduka Okoye, born in Germany but has agreed to play for Nigeria.

“We will look at him in the coming games to see if he will be able to push for a spot in the team we are preparing for the World Cup.”

Born in Germany to Nigerian parents, Okoye is yet to man the goal for the first team of the second division team in Germany, and only made his debut for the U23 in October.
