just2endowed:How do you determine that the amount is small? Willie Obiano has been the governor for 4 years. He and his team assessed, analyzed and computed a proposed budget of N166b for the fiscal year. Would you prefer a budget of N1trillion where N17m is for kitchen utensils? Whether being extravagant or economical with meagre resources, you people find ways to criticize your leaders. Anambra has been meeting her financial obligations to the people. That's what matters most and not overbloated budget that will be looted by kleptomaniacs. |

Take note,Anambra state has oil.You can Google it.I hate to criticise unreasonably. If the governor can manage his state effectively with a lean budget why heckle him? Other governors should instead borrow a leaf from him. With the short fall from federal allocation,is it not prudent to have someone who can deliver without borrowing or burying the state under loans future generations cannot pay? Look at nigeria proposing to sell it's assets and as well borrow to fund 2018 budget, Meanwhile the 2017 budget has recorded less than 50% implementation. In my own perception we need people like this governor at the federal level to manage our meagre resources .In nigeria we believe that a very big budget means growth or progress,it's not always so.The key remains "Implementation ". |

maxxx:Anambra produces 0.5% of the nation's oil, not even worth mentioning. So stop huffing and puffing. You're using ND oil. https://s20.postimg.org/6xoxkzbot/Screen_Shot_2015_11_02_at_12.jpg |

@kn3h, You are going off on a tangent. The thread is not about oil production but rather about budget presentation and it's implementation. Most of these oil producing states with their huge allocations are owing basic things like salaries and are buried under loans. |

I can see haters here already, they prefer an unrealistic budget funded by loans but hate budgets that are more realistic. My governor is on point with this budget and we can see the huge difference between the recurrent and capital budget unlike others where their recurrent is far higher than the capital budget. And for those shouting ND oil money, let one of them tell me which ND state is more prudent with its budget, they have all soaked themselves in huge debts with nothing to show for it aside giving Nigeria the likes of Ibori, late Alams, Asari, Tompolo etc |
