... It is either you don't know much about Ronaldo style of play.. There are varieties of his clips on YouTube.

And as you say... In my post, i tried enough to respect the opinion of the fans of both.

Very unfortunate that your hypocrisy will not allow you to know that you have contradicted yourself and do not respect my opinion by saying it is pure nonsense.

And messi said he leaves the best discussion for people to decide means the award they collect will decide the best. And in this case Ronaldo is in the same level with him.

cheesy

You should be showing me videos and telling me why his style of play makes him on par or better than Messi.

You claim he is the complete player? Explain how you came to that conclusion.

I've addressed the bolded on my 1st reply to U.

As for the 1st question u asked , Fifa rates Pele as #1,maradona #2, Johan cryuff #3, L. Messi #5. Cr7 not in the top five . check it out on Fifa.com.

Almost all other football sites/blogs founded b4 the both of Us were born and had the opportunity to watch the game from years back , actually rates Pele #1 and messi #2, there are few exceptions with Messi as #3, while Maradona #2. But messi always in top 3 along Pele who's always #1, while CR7 is never in the top #5.

Forget the stats, Watch the game like these guys have done, like I've done, then U would see that football is more than who scored or who made the final pass.

Exactly why I rate Ngolo Kante and Kevin De bruyne as the two best players in the league right now, Even if the stats don't prove that.

BTW, I'm a Liverpool Fan , I should be rating salah higher, but no . I watch the game I see what kante and De bruyne do. Funny thing is Ive actually been full of praise for both of them for more than 2.5 years now ( before Guardiola, before Conte) , it has taken some stats for the rest of the so-called fans to see this. SMH

Football is about stats and records my guy.... Pele is number 1 ever because of his stats and records.....

Hope you know if Liverpool wins the league, Salah will be crown EPL best player if he continues his performance... right??

Fifa.com would disagree with U. In fact , 99% of all the sport blogs/site established b4 u were born would disagree. U think I'm lying? Do your research.

CR7 is a goal scoring machine. That's all he is..

Don't judge based on sentiment, be objective. Objectively CR7 is not even in the top 3.

Fcck Fifa.com!!!

If by now you don't know FIFA tries to be diplomatic with its praise and choices, and tries to honour old players, you know nothing.

I can see the clips of CR7 and Cruyff.

Cruyff has nothing on him. Cruyff is a rung below and I am being generous because he is a pioneer that has no one else too look at to develop himself. He has natural talent and developed an epic style that has been improved by future generations. If Cruyff was playing today and he played what he used to play then now, I would not even put him in that rung, I would drop him another rung to the levels of Figo and Brian Laudrup.

I would agree CR7 is not top 3, he is 4th in my opinion behind Messi, Maradona and Pele. He is the ultimate goalscorer that only Messi and Pele have matched.

First of all, in the 90s, PSV was not a small club. It was one of the top clubs in Europe. Think of a club at the level of Monaco, Sevilla and Tottenham today.

In the late 80s and early 90s, it was churning out stars after stars that later became legends in bigger clubs or their respective countries like Romario, Gullit, Cocu, Koeman, Popescu and Ronaldo (R9).

The silly 'question marks' and 'assumptions' are from those that (1) don't know football, (2) are poor at analysis and reasoning and/or (3) are some partisan idiots, especially CR7 ones who want to say he did this and that at Man U (forgetting he did nothing at Lisbon).

What Messi is doing in Barcelona, no player in history has done in any big club, no matter the set up, set down, set 2, set 3, set 56, Setubal whatever. Not even Maradona did it Barcelona, not R9, not Romario, not Ronaldinho.

His ability is Godly and supreme!

He can score like CR7 and Pele. Even scores more goals from outside the Box 18 than both. YEP! Many of you would be surprised at that fact.

He can dribble and playmake like Maradona. He has done everything that one has done and did it more times.

Did he win the world cup like Maradona or Pele??

Ryan Giggs better than Henry?? I see, u r definitely a Man U fan.

Alan Shearer was voted EPL best ( most likely because he is British) with Henry on #2.

Maybe if CR7 had stay a little longer he would have been up there.

Don't mind him.

Even Shearer cannot smell Henry's boots.

Of what use is the competitiveness when those six strong teams don't make statements in the UCL? The semi strong team in La-Liga will easily claim the EPL title without much sweat and the babies of La-Liga will annihilate the babies of EPL anytime any day so where is the match? If the babies of La-Liga gets as much money as their EPL counterparts they will make La-Liga very very strong

Son, what are you arguing?

You mean the same league that has produced 2 UCL winners and 4 finalists in the last 10 UCLs (including an all English final in 2008) is not making statements in the UCL?

Nonsense about the semi-strong teams easily claiming EPL title. These are the kinds of jejune statements that let me quickly know your age. Typical unreasoned, bias but passionate statements. Because you don't want EPL to be the best league does not mean it is not the best league.

If the likes of Athletico, Valencia and Sevilla were playing in EPL, they would most likely be ending in the 3rd to 9th position in the league most times. If their players are that good, they would not be taking half the wages they can get at Arsenal at these clubs.

The likes of Granada, Gijon and Celta Vigo are no better than Wolves, Reading, Blackpool, Hull and Nottingham Forests in the Championship.

CR7 not in top 3.... who then is... Messi??

What has Messi won that Ronaldo hasn't won??

Most of these awards are based on people voting on goals scored in the year. That is the problem with a general vote. Those without analytical skills get to vote.

Some of Ronaldo's wins are in seasons when Messi was off a few weeks injured, hence less goals.

If someone with a brain does analysis based on ability, what happens on the pitch and contribution to the team, CR7 has NO CHANCE!

Duuuuude, don't be watching YouTube clips and making nonsensical conclusions. Even Ahmed Musa has unbelievable YouTube clips.

Before, I got my job I used to own a 'Viewing centre' and I was forced to show every single barca/Madrid matches each season, that is all 38 LA Liga matches for both Barca and Madrid every season and I can tell you with all certainty that Messi is Supernatural !!!!

If only you had Watch every Single Messi match for barca few seasons ago U would have been screaming that Messi is the greatest player of all time like a lot of us are doing right now.

Don't just watch YouTube Clips, champions League game and draw conclusions based on them ( couple with fact that U must have seen CR7 play for Man U since the EPL is sooooo accessible to Nigerians but clearly never really watched La Liga based on this your write-up

Let him even watch youtube clips.

I want him to bring his youtube clips here so I can dissect it for him so he gets full understanding of football.

Bro, this is were U r getting it wrong. Greatest player award ( just like ballon d'or) is an individual award not a team award.

John O'Shea won more than john terry yet you can never put them in the same class, one is regarded as one of the best to ever grace the EPL , the other is regarded as a player who played for a great team.

Football is more than who won.

That is why , every one (atleast 99% of football fans) rates JJ Okocha who never won anything more than Obi Mikel who is one of the most decorated African footballer .

That's why you have to always look pass the stats and actually watch the game.

I watched Henry played , and only 2 players ( CR7 and Luis Suarez) played @ the same level. Both CR7 and LS didn't stay in the EPL long enough.

Your head is very correct with the highlighted.

CR7 improved a notch after moving to RM.

This is where you exhibit your inability to reason and analyse.

The only reason CR7 won over Messi is because the idiots voting would look at the fact that Portugal (a team) won the Euros.

The idiots would not look at the process of winning, just the fact they won is what matters. That is the fallacy of general vote. That is why Nigeria got GEJ, the most reetarded reetard of reetards as President.

In the same period, Messi scored 64 goals in 62 games, while CR7 scored 55 goals in 59 games.

That is 1.02 goals per game vs 0.93 goals per game. But idiots would look at what a TEAM won after coming third in a group to attribute it to ONE player.

So wipe that smile off your face, son.

As much as you are entitled to your opinion, you can never get a top 10 in such rankings.

You need to have tiers.

Tier 1

1. Messi
2. Maradona
3. Pele
4. CR7

Tier 2
Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Zico, Zidane, Platini, Iniesta, Xavi, Puskas, Di Stefano, Beckenbauer, Matthaus, G. Muller, Kahn, Cruyff, Eusebio, Buffon, Zoff, Yashin etc.

And then next tier.

I may agree with U, based on the fact I never really watched Cruyff played.

I watched the YouTube video of Roberto Baggio the other day and I was screaming my head off, I asked myself "why isn't Baggio celebrated as much as these other players" ? The answer obviously is because he wasn't as awesome as the YouTube clips made him. ( nonetheless, he still won a 'FiFA world best trophy') .

So , I don't believe all these short clips. I rather watch the entire game.

So, You may actually be right about CR7 being better than Cruyff.
