President Obasanjo was also on ground to welcome the Queen and her husband, Prince Philip.

Re: A by MosD: 2:36pm On Dec 03, 2017
Obasanjo and wife, Stella (may her soul rest in peace), joined the two on a dais as Nigerian military band played "God save the Queen.” An honour guard fired a 21-gun salute.

We all know Obasanjo to be comical, but what could she be telling the Queen to make her laugh this hard.

The Queen having a feel of the ‘street’ in Karu, Abuja, where she also visited Karu market and was given leather work and map of Nigeria as gift.

The Queen of England, Elizabeth II, declaring open 2003 Abuja Commonwealth Heads of Government meeting, where she said, “Without prosperity and democracy in Nigeria, there will be no lasting prosperity in Africa. And without prosperity in Africa, there cannot be lasting prosperity, with good conscience, in our world.”

The Queen, Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Philip waving goodbye to Nigerians as they end their first visit to Nigeria since independence which also seems to be their last.

It is worthy to note that Nigeria was given the opportunity to host the 2003 17th CHOGM just four years after returning to democracy in 1999, after suffering over 3 years suspension from same Commonwealth for the killing of Ken Saro-Wiwa and eight others in Abacha’s regime in 1995.

HM The Queen.

The next British royal to come in the future would either be a King Charles or a King William.
