South Sudanese Student, Nyamal, addressed hate comments she gets on social media as she shared new photos on her Instagram page.

According to her, she doesn’t force her photos on anyone and the hate comments should stop.

She wrote;

The amount of times I ‘ve been called ‘burnt’ or ‘ugly’ is ridiculous. If you don’t like me or don’t have have anything nice to say just scroll pass. I don’t force my photos on anyone. Stay blessed.

Black is beautiful? No, I dont believe that phrase we always use to console ourselves. The truth is that black is not attractive and is basically the root cause of racism. Even here in Nigeria, we mostly prefer those with lighter skin. It is not self hate but reality, just consider the number of people bleaching their skin colours and believe me the numbers would have been much more if not for the adverse effect. That's the sad truth!
