Sorry to derail but it's on the same subject matter albeit a different country, The course I'm applying to requires that I have 30cr in Mathematics as prerequisite. How do I calculate this from my transcript.
Thanks

I also applied to Georg-August Universitat Gottingen. On the molecular science page, I saw it was an online application until after being accepted, you can post/submit hardcopies. Am I wrong here as I did only online application?

No u are not wrong. I was told the same thing, I even sent two different emails to confirm from the school contact. And they said no hard copies.
Just written exams and oral interview

Why not apply directly to a school in the US or Canada?

Time, schools resume in September and requirements for visa is tough if you apply from here

You think german visa is easier?

No visa is easy to get, it all depends on how prepared you are for the interview

You can learn German in there months but you will not be sound at all. German language has some technicalities that will take you some months to master them. There is no permanent rules in German language.

Atleast, you can learn German in 3months to know basics,NUMBER,Alphabets, greetings, months,Genfer, plural, singular and verbs.

Calm down. German is not something that you learn at a go. Even after two years of staying here, I'm still learning.

Don't expect yourself to be perfect in just three months, ok

You should be able to achieve A1 in three months which is quite good for a student.

Even if you can't go to a language school, I would recommend the Duolingo app and dw.com/deutschlernen

Not the interview. I mean money wise. What you need mainly is the block account which is just about €8,700 for other countries you need to save for living expenses and tuition

Even if you transfer via exchange (allowed in some programs),
you will still return to Germany to graduate. Maximum stay outside Germany is 2 semesters. grin

You'll learn only few basics like greetings, numbers, week days etc.

Learning German is not as easy as you think. The language has special conjunctions. Just that I missed 3 weeks of German language class here, I can't even catch up again even with the textbook I bought 16.99€.

You can start learning the basics ie A1 and A2 from online sources like YouTube tutors or Duolingo App. This may not make you perfect but you will learn all necessary words, phrase and expressions at your own pace. Also when you get to Germany, I learnt that some Universities offer free German course to international students especially in winter semester.

Sorry guys my suggestions is always focused on how to minimize cost and achieve the same outcome. So accept me the way I am.

GoodMorning All,

I applied to 3 schools under uni-assist for schools resuming in summer. My preference is 1 out of the 3. But I feel the admission for my most preferred school will be delayed as the school told me admission letter will start coming out by 1st week of February, and looking at the problem of embassy been booked out, I will like to consider using any admission letter that comes out first. My question now is: Can I use admission letter from one school to get visa ,and then proceed to another school after arriving Germany? In answering the question please consider the fact that the non-preferred school may give a deadline to accept the admission offer. Does embassy have concern if the admission offer is not accepted yet by candidate?

Thanks to respond in advance.

Yes, you can, you just have to prepare for the visa interview based on the school eg know facts about the school's town, the modules you'll be offering, why you're choosing that particular school and course etc.
What do you mean deadline to accept offer?
Are you paying tuition because that's the only way i know an admission offer is accepted.

Thanks Ayomeah.

There is no tuition fee. What I mean is that after admission is given, schools normally give a deadline to accept the offer. Does embassy normally wait to see that student accept the admission offer before issuing visa? Will not acceptance of admission offer delay visa processing?

Thanks to get your response once again

Well I don't think they do acceptance, I think the deadline you will have is enrolment.
I may have same issue with you but for now I want to get Visa with the admission letter I have now

You are right, some schools do give deadline for admission acceptance or you forfeit the admission. It depends on the school but the embassy will only work with the admission letter you had your interview with. You can get your visa with school A and resume to school B. You just need the right way to get it done. Note: You can't enroll in two universities at the same time in Germany(this is applicable to schools with online enrollment). Make sure you come back here for more guidance after everything is set. But for now, just continue with your processing, you have nothing to worry about. Shalom
