Federal police are either corrupt thugs or ineffective idiots. Buhari has failed with a meaniful police reform. They are as terrible as they always been and he has no plans to improve them. The only answer is more money and send military or some other security forces to assist them. 1 Like |

Brooo, SARS are known to be chasing after Yahoo boys...they dont do their anymore...have seen instances SARS operatives chasing after any nice cars on the road victimizing to smash their car windows, asking how they got to buy a particular car and even following boys to withdraw from their ATM. A live instant was a bail condition of over N200, 000 of nothing incriminating wrongfully of a suspect...SARS is a failure!!! GavelSlam: |

Princedapace:Your statement is actually the typical statement of a Nigerian. Oppressed in ways he doesn't know and insists on not recognizing. Yes it is not bad if the relevant authorities question your source of income...the relevant and authorized authorities. What is bad and disgusting is if they question your source of income only because they're trying to determine if you're eligible to pay bribe and that's what they do 100% of the time...the only few times they caught people involved in crimes this way were very likely because the persons apprehended didnt settle them or were caught by the very very few remaining good eggs in force..and incidentally too definitely. BTW I was wondering what the hell is "I dressed like a yahoo boy". Funny Nigerians. Do y'all think only yahoo boys dress in the way I imagine. The ones who wear native and cover their tracks with all sorts of legitimate business fronts are the real yahoo boys and they simply can't ever be caught, why? they're far more intelligent in ways the police or efcc or whatever would never figure out. Dressing casually in the way modern western youths and young adults dress should not be deemed irresponsible in any way except you're an oppressed Nigerian incapable of progressive thought and auto tuned to being dehumanized by the Nigerian default setting for as long as he's alive. So if yahoo boys start wearing suits tomorrow, young pastors and bankers who wear suits should be profiled and subject to embarrassing searches daily?. All sane youths in Nigeria today dress or try to dress in 'cool ways' except ofcourse the holier than thou ones. So the way anybody dressess is absolutely no basis on which they should be subject to dehumanization unless they're in Nigeria where everyone who think they're someone strut around like buffoons dictating ideals from their warped view of what should be morality. Police strike...let's not deceive ourselves. They're ineffective 90% of the time. I don't know anybody who has ever called them during a robbery and they responded in time. Heck how does one even call them? they have like a 100 different emergency numbers. Police force that cant start and manage a simple system of having a short and memorizable toll free number like 911 to call for emergencies in this country. They stop innocent and guilty people just to collect bribes..which mumu crime dem dey fight. The worst police in the world has an acute image problem and it'd take more than a few celebrity PR personnel to change that. The sooner they realize this and start working on it the better for them. Till then #EndSars. And just as a simple observation, the political leaders and thieves have allowed internet fraud to prevail because they've stolen all the money that should have been used to give the youths a sound education and make their lives better. Internet fraud is wrong nonetheless. |
