I believe our dear country is not the only country in the world with youths trying to become entrepreneur or expose to the modern day civilization of using Mobile phones for every minute. I have never seen or heard where are any police arm established to fight robbery in other countries stops their youths and ask questions like " how did you get your own mobile phone " " who is this guy you are talking to on your own social media apps " some of this so called SARS even ask for phone carrier permit imagine the extent of corruption and humiliation they engage our country. Anyone who claim he or she hasn't seen or heard the mess this people bring to our communities is just a Nigerian without sense. I support 100% #EndSARS 2 Likes |

I read a post on NL about policemen in other countries and read about a certain countey where their police had only killed 2people for 25yrs Not the same in dis country,so many people that have been tagged armed robbers by these SARS operatives, many end up in prison for offense they never commit I can't boldly and comfortable stand at a bus stop again because of the fear these useless being has created in me and not as if I have any illegal things on me but the only offense is dressing nice when does that become an offence.... lytech1:I think we are all getting it wrong. The SARS are known to over do and unprofessional. They also oppress and extort innocent and vulnerables. But there is an adage "ori bibe ko logun ori fifo" = cutting heads off is not solution to headaches. Just as Nigerians are trending it now, we can do it but we should seek for a better SARS and not scrapping SARS. Despite all our complaints. Many of us go out and come back safe. We do our legal business without fear. But if SARS is scrapped, the rubbers will be happy. In fact, they are in your support at the moment. It will help them. Let us join hand and ask for a reform and better SARS. Not end SARS 2 Likes 1 Share |

GavelSlam: Thank you o. Same here.. I abide rules and regulations.. I av never been maltreated by any security unit in this country.. I have no bad business to hide.. I talk to them politely and soundly. Someone even asked why they should SARS should stop and search a car driven by happy young men and women.. I was really shocked to read that. Abeg they dey write armed robber for person face? SARS must stop and search any car if need be. In many instances across the country, stop and search has helped to catch ritualists who looked happy and innocent too.. Nigeria is a dangeeious society, many look innocent but are ritualists, criminals, fraudstars etc. SARS must stay. 1 Like 1 Share |

Princedapace:Unfortunately what you don't understand is that these stops are not carried out for the purpose of apprehending criminals, they stop people with only one agenda at the back of their minds...bribe money!. We all know how it works, don't deceive yourself. There is also no real evidence that these bandits have in anyway helped to reduce crime..all they do is wild guess criminals and destroy the already rotten image of the NPF by engaging in torture and all sorts of disgraceful practices including jungle justice. If you want to confirm this, borrow a tokunbo car from a dealer, wear gucci, hold an iPhone and drive by a SARS checkpoint(which is banned and illegal BTW). Once you drive by, I'm 100% sure they'd stop you and search you and the car thoroughly without a warrant. When they finally see there's nothing incriminating on you or even if they find something really stupid like "why do you have instagram on your phone", the next thing they'd do is get desperate and look for any stupid way to asl you for money...ways like "Come wash the car for us na". "I would shoot you and nothing would happen"etc. Criminal outfit with notorious criminals as members. |

Slimcoy: Internet penetration is high in many advanced countries, how many times do you hear of their citizens arrested for online fraud? Guns are illegal in this country but I wager we probably have as much guns as laptops. Abeg Nigerians should face the truth. Crime is manifest in this country and a unit must be made to tackle it headlong. SARS officials did not fall from the sky. They are your brothers and sisters. They are products of your society. |

Whoever that began that "end SARS" campaign is crazy! If not for SARS eh, armed robbery and other violent crime would have been taken to extreme in this country. Using Enugu state as a case study, the crime rate in Enugu was so high prior to the coming of SARS. But now the fear of SARS is the begining of wisdom for any criminal in the state. My only problem is that their activities seems to be restricted to only some states and regions. I am of this view because some states and cities in the country still have high crime rate yet SARS operatives are no where to be found in those places. Take for instance Benin city where some cultists and criminals still terrorize the people but no one seems to care. This makes me to wonder if the security agents only become very effective when they are posted to the southeast. |

Bamibello: A typical statement of a Nigerian.. And who told u I dont drive pass these guys? The last time they stopped me, it was due to my dressing. They felt I was a yahoo boy. They stopped and asked some questions.. I never care to worry my self with all the stories about these Guys. Why? Becus there are bad guys everywhere.. In military, Navy, etc. And there are good guys. I comported my self. I had no skeleton to hide so whatever they like, they are free to check. Internet fraud is high in nigeria and it is normal for security men to go even beyond normal to check. Could u believe that in Abaraka, over 70% of boys there who have money are fraudstars? Worse part of it is that they now kill humans to practice their fraud. Internet fraud is almost a way of life for many youths.. It is not bad if officers questions your source of income. The last time they stopped me, that was their major concern and I had to prove to them that what I told them I do is what I actually do. U don't blame them, fraud and crime rates are high here. As for if they help reduce crime.. I just wish this can be done.. I wish they can just allow police go on strike for just two days. Maybe u would understand better. The last time police went on strike here.. Just few hours of strike, it wasn't funny. Ask those who can remember |

that's why the nigeria police won the infamous award of worst police in the planet earth. citizens whom you 're supposed to be working for 're complaining of the naked criminality of your officers, instead of looking it and find solution to such evil acts, your justifying it and branding citizens liers. may the injustices your criminal men meted on the citizens, fall on you and your family as well. |

The response from Nigeria Police shows that they have no regard for the people. such organization in a sane country will call a meeting with heads of the outfit. Police brutality is very high in Nigeria and SARS own is at the extreme. Personally I don't agree with ending SARS but i think they should be reformed and their duty and rules of engagement redefined. They are very useful in high profile crime like bank robberies, kidnapping etc that ordinary police will not stand. If we end them robbers will have a field day. However cases of extra judicial killing, selling human parts of suspects, harassment and illegal torture by SARS is on the rise. I and my family will never be a victim of their violence. I have seen cases of what they did to people and i can tell you,SARS is deadly. |
