Drama In Kogi Police Command As Incoming CP Flee Without Taking Over by Leznzeh: 9:33pm On Mar 29, 2018
There was a mild drama, Thursday, at the State Command of the Nigeria Police headquarters, Lokoja, as the incoming Commissioner of Police, Esa Sunday Ogbu, was not available for handover.

The outgoing CP, Ali Jaga came to the office in company of AIG of Police Zone 8, expecting to see the new CP.
DAILY POST which has been monitoring developments around the state command gathered that the new CP had earlier been threatened a day to his resumption.
The Kogi Governor, Bello, reportedly told him to leave the state.

The new CP, as a result of the intimidation, left for Abuja Thursday morning.
Efforts to speak with the Force PPRO, Jimoh Moshood was not successful as he did not pick calls put across in his two lines.
The Inspector General of Police, IGP Ibrahim K. Idris, had ordered the immediate removal of Kogi State Commissioner of Police, CP Ali Janga over questionable circumstances that led to escape of two key suspects in a matter involving Senator Dino Melaye.

The new CP, Ogbu was Commissioner of Police, Federal Operations, Force Headquarters, Abuja before his posting to Kogi State.

Even the police chief of a state is running out of fear because the state governor who is being protected by his own men threatened him, who then is safe in this country?

The damage that has been done on Nigeria by APC will take at least 10yrs to reverse.

APC is a bunch of political crooks.

Tyrant Governor! I always wonder how the excesses of these so called executive Governors are checked in the face of our peculiar Nigerian realities. The State Houses of Assembly are most times puppets of the State, good examples being the Kogi and Imo Houses. So I ask, when the people feel the government has let them down, and the Assembly has betrayed them, what can be done under a democracy? Because this is the situation we find ourselves in Nigeria in most cases: Legislature in the pockets of the Executive at the States, and then Legislature-Executve romance on the national level. It is such a pity the Hunter's dog has become just the errand boy, or at best the boyfriend of the bush animal. Its such a shame

Point of correction.
All state House of Assembly in Nigeria are rubber stamp members.
Those of opposition party with dissenting opinions are muscled out like in Rivers state.

What a pathetic country to be born in.

we the youths are mastubating online, while those old folks are jeopardizing our future and that of our offspring.

If CP can be threatened just imagine the ordinary citizen.

most of these Bastards have less than 20 years to live and yet they're leaving behind a disastrous damages which a thousand years can't repair.

Do you still blame TY Danjuma that everybody should defend themselves?

When leaders settle for selfish and greedy interests, the masses become cannon fodder.

I'm sure there are good reasons for him absconding. Funny matter, reminds me of a town in Mexico where no one wanted to be the police chief due to fear of gangs and drug runners.

To all of you pointing fingers at the governor, who should be threatened if not the erstwhile CP for allowing the suspects to escape under his stewardship? Is the governor now on Dino's side? The details are vague.

Kogi should be disintegrated and shared to other states. Shameful
