i did it when i bought it,,and the i confirmed it brought values..even now, when i do live reading on my scanner, it gives me reading of 0.8 or 1.0....my fear is that, i may be using the wrong sensor..cos i just went to oyingbo to buy it without buying the one with the exact parts number,..

sorry Bros, work has been quite hectic,

use this site and input ur car make, model, year and engine type.... it'll give u what u r looking for.
http://densoautoparts.com/find-my-part.aspx#searchResults

now what accord do u drive? 4cyl or 6cyl? what sensor do u need.... depending on the engine config, u have 2 sensors for 4 cyl and 4 sensors for 6cyl.

then there comes the upstream, downstream, rear and front.... meaning different banks and different sensors.

bank directly facing radiator is bank 2 and the bank next to firewall is bank one( for 6cyl ohhhhh) 4 cyl don't need to label banks since its an inline config, just upstream and downstream (pre cat and post cat)

sorry for the jargons, too much research don scata my head. if u need clarifications just holla@ me

denso is the OEM for his vehicle, but he needs to be specific with the sensor in question, the site above will help him a lot

Thanks boss.. My car is Honda accord ex 2000..i need both the upstream and downstream.. My car has only one sensor in the catalyst pot...now.. See my problem.. Am seeing different sensors.. For upstream and down stream... I don't know the exact one to buy based on my car year... I don't know if they would work on it..

Eg
Part/Stock #: 234-4122
Engine: L4 (2.3L)
Designation: F23A4
CC: 2254
Qty: 1
Note: SULEV
Label: OE Style
Position: Downstream...

Another downstream.

Part/Stock #: 234-4209
Engine: L4 (2.3L)
Designation: F23A4
CC: 2254
Qty: 1
Note: ULEV
Label: Universal
Position: Downstream..

For upstream...
Eg

Part/Stock #: 234-9014
Engine: L4 (2.3L)
Designation: F23A4
CC: 2254
Qty: 1
Note: DENSO is the O.E. Manufacturer / Air Fuel Ratio Sensor
Label: OE Style
Position: Upstream

Another eg
ViewBuyPart/Stock #: 234-9025
Engine: L4 (2.3L)
Designation: F23A4
CC: 2254
Qty: 1
Note: ULEV
Label: OE Style
Position: Upstream

You see where am confused.. These are all sensors for my car.. But... I don't know the one that would work for it.. Seeing that the same car has different sensors with its different parts no... I don't even understand what designation:f23a4 means in their description... Please kindly advice..

merry Xmas. pls I really want to know more bout oxygen sensors of vehicles.

I believe u gained lots of knowledge about it at some point.

how do I test the sensors with multimeter?
most workshops don't have multimeters.
even of they may have, I doubt they can test sensors separately from the car.

how do I get to know the exact sensor that would work with a car?

can an oxygen sensor work efficiently on a car IF the CATALYST has been removed?

Bro.. Which car do you use? If you use Honda.. I suggest you buy brand new sensor.. Or toks from luvinhubby.. He sells working ones.. Yes... 02 sensor can work without catalyst.. But if catalyst is removed.. It might affect the fuel consumption of the car.. It depends on the car though... If your catalyst is bad or has been removed..you can buy oxygen sensor spacer that has catalyst from Gazzuzz..that should solve your problem..

I use a Benz ,c class, w203. CATALYST has been removed. I haven't checked on the oxygen sensor though. I'm just assuming worst case scenario of the sensor being bad or out of place. Would say mean I wd buy oxygen sensor spacer?

I scanned last week. the engineer told me that scanners don't detect stuffs like Mass Airflow, oxygen SENSORS. it was just days ago I found out from internet, YouTube, nairaland that those were all false information.

I wonder y such lies are told.

The technician is probably a fake.. Scanners detects all that and even gives values for those which indicates if it's working properly or not.. Please change technician.. Also... Yes... If your issue is just catalyst.. The o2 sensor spacer with catalyst would solve that problem.. Gazzuzz can explain more.. But plz scan at a better techinician..

hi.
I don't think iv gotten back to you since then.
I later scanned the car, it showed bad oxygen sensors.

I don't want to go for those spacers. cos I believe all it does is to remove the error codes.

did u finally get the right oxygen sensors for your vehicle?

I heard there are UNIVERSAL OXYGEN SENSORS for vehicle-brands

if u finally got the right sensors, to what degree or percentage did your change of oxygen sensor improve the fuel economy?
