this guy didnt even study in america

this guy studied all his life in nigeria but when was his bachelors in canada.

I am tired of baseless arguments like this,if you are tired of nigeria pls leave, people that will be successful, will be successful anywhere if you like put them on mar.

The venture capital that financed and established andela as a promising tech of the future is from the USA....
The partners that gave the start up a viable chance of life are from the USA....
It's like u guys don't know opportunities accessible to u when u live abroad....
Beside what difference does it make if he's from Canada....
Is it not another western country Nigerians will die for....
For ur info....
Most n8gerians priotise Canada over America n its visa is the hardest to get in that country....

Or is that Nigerians in canada don't brag unlike their American counterparts.....

Every single individual knows the truth now unless those who like to deceive themselves. The emergence of social media has really exposed the lies we were told while growing up. People can now openly see going to America does not guarantee success. Living in America is no difference from living in any African country. America offers zero advantage for personal development and financial breakthrough

Lies Lies Lies.....
Why do you waste your time trying to counter people who can really put you in your place? If you travel to the United States on a non-immigrant visa your first five years will be wasted. You will start standing on your feet after five years. A standard 5 bedroom duplex will cost $70,000 to build in 2017. On a average you can only save up $7,000 annually and that is at your best when you get a hig paying job. Meanwhile after five years you are expected to spend the next two years trying to get an associate degree which starts you with a low paying job with no chance of good saving for another three years. That's a total of 10 yrs already wasted without buying a single land in Nigeria. The other 10 yrs will be spend trying to save up $7,000 annually for another 10 yrs and God help you if you are not married with kids by then. It will become a dream too tall for you. Your zeal and desires will fade as times goes by. This is what almost every individual have faced and many are lining up to follow same destructive path. Think wisely and get something doing in Nigeria no matter how small

They dont want to listen. Some will even hit their head on the wall because they cant stand the truth. They want to keep living in illusion. Life is really tough out there. No single Nigerian can boast of $200,000 in cash, including those who have stayed in America for 60 yrs

I can't answer such question in public but I can assure you that if the United States make it compulsory for all her citizens to pay rent per annum 95% of Nigerians living in America will automatically become homeless. Down here in Nigeria we even pay two years straight. Beat that!

Why would they make it compulsory to pay rent per annum do they pay salaries per annum? Your problem is that the abnormal situation of Nigeria has messed you up. You kept harping on about savings. Why do they need to save when they have good social security and credit system and pension to boot. To save for what exactly? It's the poverty mentality that makes us amass wealth and cash unnecessarily.

Can you show me statistics to show Nigerian citizens are enjoying more than US citizens? Abeg go treat your craze this is not funny any more

You obviously a learner and know nothing about the US. system. Social security can't take care of your monthly bills after retirement that's why all Americans are encouraged to contribute to a 401 k account. Presently most Americans don't even have $10,000 saved up, meaning they are all facing financial disaster late in their life. Social security might even be scrapped very soon meaning tougher days ahead for Americans

Lol!!

I can tell you that Nigerians in Nigeria are enjoying the following:

Best corrupt government system
Best corrupt Police Force
Best corrupt Judiciary system
Best corrupt and Poor Education, Healthcare and Infrastructures

But lot of savings with the poor value in Naira currency.

However, Nigerians in the US are enjoying the following:

Best Rule of Law government system
Best Police force
Best Rule of Law Judiciary system
Best Education, Healthcare and infrastructures

But little savings in Dollars(The Best and Strongest Currency that controls the entire World).

At the end of both lives spent, Nigerians in Nigeria or Nigerians in the US both will leave this earth and be buried with nothing.

Not everyone wants be rich. Why? I just want to able to afford anything I desire at any point in time. I dont want the type of Aliko's wealth, it's headache. I don't need 20 cars like Dino, it's just insane.

There's problem in the land when everyone wants money badly...then rituals become normal, pastors deceive people, the likes of hushpuppi and e-money with questionable source of income are being looked upto and praised by the young ones. I see them asking God to pick their calls everytime those ones flaunt the dosh. The whole system is a mess, that's why you are fvcked up in the brain about being rich in the US.

Hahaha, renounce her western residency that guarantees her all the comfort available for a miserable life in a jungle, that is the most foolish thing to ever do, how can you prefer to live in hell than Heaven, I gave up on Nigeria long time ago, I was very patriotic before but the blissful Nigerian dream is not visible with the kind of wicked, satanic, occultic, selfish and blood thirsty politicians we have, even if you have money to set up a business in Nigeria, if you don't do what the system requires which is cutting corners.

you are doomed, a family friend of mine arrived Nigeria after living for several years in the West to set up a juice manufacturing company, he invested so much into it,brought several machineries from Europe and also bought several delivery vans for his line of business plus he also had a pure water company attached to it, as at when I visited him before my departure early this year, he was lamenting and regretting, he has sold all the deep freezers and put the entire company for sale due to the harsh economic environment in the jungle, do people make it in Nigeria, yes but they are very few, they said Nigeria will be the country with the highest number of poor people by February 2018 in the whole world, India currently holds that position , no thanks to the useless federal criminals in power who have raped the country without a condom, robbed and looted the treasury, lack of good infrastructure, insecurity etc those who have ears let them hear, with the kind of wicked politicians we currently have, I don't think things will change so soon, Nigeria is not a country fit for humans to live, those who want to be patriotic and live in denial can continue.
Re: Lies Of Nigerians Living In America by kroger: 2:14pm On Dec 08, 2017
I know there's no place like home but when home isn't inhabitable you can find someplace else and call it home. Everyday thousands of people come into this country from all over the world to call this place home.
My job took me to Nigeria where I lived for two years before coming back to the US. Nigeria may not be as bad as western Media paints it to be, however it isn't a country I'd advise anybody to live in.

Every part of the country is relatively messed up, morally bankrupt and irredeemably backward, with retrograded mindset set of people from a radicalized north to an extremely Christianized south. Corruption thrives in the Nigerian oxygen, every Nigerian seems to breathe it in without even knowing - thank goodness i didn't catch the bug...

The system is broken beyond repair. Think about ur kids and how unfavorable the system would be to them. I have never seen a government so apathetic and nonchalant to the plight of her people. The life expectancy of the average Nigerian is very low compared to other western countries that's because people die from treatable illnesses due to a failed health care system, majority do not have access to good health care...
your savings in your 401k may allow you get a nice apartment in a middle-class area but remember that, that isn't the real Nigeria, the real Nigeria is outside your home, the society you interacts with, the deplorable roads you drive on when you go see a friend or relative that lives on the other side of town, the corrupt judicial system where the word justice is nothing but a farce, the society your kids interacts with - i could go on and on - unless you wanna live in a gated neighborhood with zero interaction with the outside world then discard this advise.

If you are looking for more money investing in the country is a good idea but living in it is not. you can invest from here, you don't have to relocate.
Think it through thoroughly sleep on it over and over again to avoid taking a decision you will regret for the rest of your life.
