This demolition should be extended to Mushin as Mushin is so due for demolition. That area looks disgusting!

Japanese are some itinerant flatheaded Ugandan jews suffering from population explosion, their land can't accommodate them, hence they are scattered all over the places. grin

Hmmn... He should have just allowed the people to enjoy their December in peace. If at all it must be done, early next year would have been better.

They were given ample notice. If you give them December free, trust they will still ask for April next year. A forewarned famine won't kill a tortoise!

one thing we humans don't understand is that the so called DEMOLITION is for the benefit of all. To those affected i really feel your pains but i am pretty sure many of them knew the places they bought their land is totally out of the question.

Agege is very strategic in Lagos.
It connects a lot of areas in Lagos starting from
Berger to Ikeja,
Ogba to iyana ipaja
Iju-Ishaga to Ikeja
Iyana- dopemu brige to Ogba
Ikeja along to fagba to Giwa to Lanmbe
In short, the area is an interface which link many area on mainland and it is dominated by core Yorubas.
I once stayed around there and the traffic is hell including Sundays. If Lagos state government can introduce a bridge as they commenced demolition at Pen cinema (agege), resident of Agege and its environment will never forget Ambode.

From the pictures particularly the first one, that is the right of way for the overhead bridge planned for Agege. Houses on both sides of the road have been marked (with the length required) with red paint for quite some time, location is the road leading to Pen Cinema

What about investing in cable transportation? Also, those people who were chased out of their homes in those riverine areas (I've forgotten the name of that area), how do they hinder traffic?
