$1000 is ok

How about $500. I already sent some money to my wife to keep for me. I just need the cash to pass through immigration

Introduction letter does not have particular format. It is a letter addressed to the embassy explaining your overall situation..

I, ... a graduate from ... university wish to further my studies in ... university in South Africa. State the reasons you chose the course and the university, and how the course will benefit you in your home country after you graduate. Explain your relationship with your sponsor. It is always better when parents are sponsor. List or explain the supporting documents you attached.
Make the letter as short as possible.
You must get a guarantor's letter from your uncle including his bank statements
Employer letter is not necessary if you are not employed and if there is no long gap between.

You need travel ittenary from an airline. You don't have to pay for it. No need for hotel reservation. If you have arrangement for accomodation you can mention it in your letter.

Check vfs website for all supporting documents.

Thanks boss

Thanks for the response Guru.

Please i have more questions please;

Yeah, about explaining my relationship with my uncle in the introduction letter, i think i have a bit fear with that, as my uncle doesn't share my surname. Please advise me accordingly?

Should the guarantor letter be addressed to the sch or visa embassy?

Do i need any affidavit or anything to back it up?

Boss, how do i go about getting travel ittenary from airline?

Hello gurus in the house.
First time travelled, I applied for SA tourist visa and got it within two days.
Thanks to clarify on the ffg;
1) likely questions and answers at Poe
2) how much bta. b) can I declare I have this on my master card or must have it on me as cash?
3) best airline for ticket reservations as my traveling date is fast approaching and I am yet to book my flight. Although I have contacted some agents like Wakanow and the likes and expecting a feedback by tomorrow, your urgent response/assistance will be highly appreciated.
Thanks

Go to travelstart. ng book a flight to Southafrica via Kenya airways or South African airways. Print out the flight itinerary. You don't need to pay any money before that

Your sponsors letter should be addressed to the embassy. It must be accompanied by the six months statement of account.

hope I helped

Don't stress yourself on this relationship issue. He should write and state his intention, relationship with you and support you with necessary documents that you might require. The letter should be address to the embassy.

Hello Abdulai, South Africa embassy doesn't accept third-party hotel booking, you will have to make the booking directly with the hotel. You can state it in your letter that you will be staying with your uncle since he is inviting you. Ask your uncle to state it in his letter to that you will be staying with him. And ask him for all documents like proof of residence

1. Places in SA you will be visiting, paid hotel reservation, return ticket, yellow card
2. $500 cash and also in your master card. Airline always require cash before boarding.
3. No agent or airline will reserve ticket for a long time without payment.

Yeah it really helped. Thanks.

I would like to ask i hope the embassy won't look into relationship between us per se as he is like a far cousin but i call him uncle and we don't share same surname.?

Is the sponsor letter also the same as guarantor letter? If no what's the difference? Does he needs to provide the two?

Can he just type it on a plain it without using his letter headed paper? Any sample please?

What other supporting documents does he need to provide me?

Any other thing i need to know? .

Thanks boss

I hope they grant students who are sponsored not by their parents visa?

OK. Necessary document like what? What exactly do i need from him asides sponsorship letter and SOA?

Thanks

Thanks for the info.

My uncle (sponsor) is not in SA, he is in naija please don't get me wrong. I was only asking earlier that can he sponsor as we share no same surname.

Regarding the accommodation i am thinking of school hostel but it hasn't worked out yet as most rooms have been booked already. In case the school accommodation didn't later work out how do i deal with the accommodation? (as it required of me to state where i will be staying or have a verifiable hotel reservation).

Thanks in anticipation.

My bad... I didn't read the part that he is in Naija. You have to make a verifiable Hotel reservation... Please don't use third- party... book directly with the hotel

I don't think not sharing the same surname will be an issue
The sponsor though must demonstrate the relationship between you two. it must be stated in his letter and perhaps he might also state why you have different surname. for more information on that Google" sponsors letter to embassies"

it is better he types it to make it look neat. He can do it with a letter head if he wants to, but it must be addressed to the embassy.

An introduction letter introduces you, your educational background, the school you have chosen, why you have chosen to further your studies. For more information on that Google" introduction letter to embassies"

Note; the most important thing when processing a Southafrica visa is the six months bank statement. Make sure the account is well funded and it is not a fake

other things you need to know
fill the visa form with a black biro, make sure you write everything with capital letters

make a color photocopy of your yellow card and passport data page

Although this things are done inside Vfs office

hope I helped

Yes, asides the soa itself, your sponsor should also provide a photocopy of any I.D
i.e. his drivers license, his national identity card etc.

On the statement of account, your sponsor must have a closing balance more than money you need for your tuition, air tickets and accommodation. The cash flow must also be good.

say for example you need 3m for accommodation, air ticket and feeding. Your sponsor must have at least 5m in his closing balance, otherwise the embassy will reject your application on the basis of insufficient funds
The cash flow must also be good.

on the issue of other documents you need, what are the documents you have ready?

Do you have your police report/ clearance

Medical report

hope I helped

If he's the one sponsoring you and is here in south Africa.

ID data page, international passport data page, proof of residence, utility bill, letter of introduction, bank statement

All should be certified.

You will get Police report at Force CIID Alagbon, Lagos. It supposed to be free but they will collect between 3-5k or more depending on your bargaining power.

Print the medical and radiological report forms and take it to any hospital, the Doctor will sign it for you. The Doctor will ask you to do some tests after which, he will sign the forms for you. Most Doctors will only sign after you have done all the tests they asked you to do. The costs of the tests vary from one hospital to another.

You will get Yellow card from Port Health Authority. It supposed to be free but they will collect 1k or so.

Letter of introduction from him again? I thought i am the one to provide that? I am getting a bit confused bro. Please let me get you.
