So how are you sure of the percentage the church members gave?
Even In the book of Acts, it is recorded that some christians even gave 100 percent of all they had.

So tithe is even an understatement.

I pity believers who support, like and promote controversies against God, the Church and the Tithe.
It's borne out of sheer ignorance.
They have failed to realise that the battle is between TWO KINGDOMS: God's and Satan's.

Satan is obviously using ignorant men to see how to return the church to poverty, lack and disrepute.

And Paul acknowledged it that for them it was a sacrifice well pleasing unto God

He even went ahead to pray for them in Verse 19 (the famous "My God shall supply" )

Paul was actually in need of the money as at that time. He was into Evangelizing the gospel moving from one country to another. Such movement requires money and support. The money was not meant for his flamboyant lifestyle if he had any. Even with that, Paul was a poor man.
He never accumulated wealth.
No buildings acredited to him, no riches. He was satisfied spreading the gospel.

Now what is the gospel?
The gospel requires that he convert Non christians (people of other religions) into christianity, as christianity was a new religion then with very few adherents .

But what are your pastors doing today?

First of all, they are not converting non christians, they are not doing the job yet they are enriching themselves, living a flamboyant lifestyle,accumulating wealth,buying private jet,travelling to Dubai with the money meant for the job.

Thanks for being honest... That's what you were thought in Sunday school. It us not the Bible. First, no where in the bible is it written that tithe is not a law. Every law is obligatory.

2nd...You don't really need the holy spirit to understand plain English. There are Bible versions written in plain English, pick them up and read for yourself with your brain and not with the brain of your Sunday school teacher.

Tithe has only one meaning in bible concordance.
If you want to add your own. U are alone.

And if your last line says people need money, but in your mind, church doesn't need money ba.
Yet you want to go to worship centres and feel comfortable when you worship God and share His word. But Church doesn't need money

The #TitheAgainstPoverty challenge a.k.a #TAP Challenge simply says we can tithe our nation out of poverty if only we can take the 10% we have been giving to the men of god and give to the poor.
All the while you have tithed to these con men, it has always ended up in Gucci shop or private jet and the likes. Think about one person your tithe can start a business for... Think about a pupil's school fees it can pay... a hospital bill it can offset and do it. Don't give someone to give to the needy... Just do it.

The goal is to put a smile on someone's face and to bring people out of abject poverty not for any God to bless you. If there is a God and he wants to bless you for that fine, if not you are still good.
